Does Wanted Bounty Amount Decrease over time? ( Minor Spoilers )

Just saved Mikah and ended up having a bounty level of $160
Does this decrease over time?

Or do I need to pay off my full bounty at the post office?

No. I was thinking about paying off bounties too. But didn't. It might take away the fun of killing bounty hunters. You can hide from them too if you wanna avoid gun fight. But the thought about repeating future bounty (or story bounded bounty if theres any) prevented me from paying off.

We are outlaws, not idiot and Doutch needs more money.

You'll come to a point like me where you decide to stop paying it off and just kill the bounty hunters for loots.

You can still go in to town yes. It's mostly the random Bounty hunter encounters you have to worry about during your travels. I ran into one where a wagon blew up as i was riding past and threw me off my horse (totally unexpected and startled me for a sec) then got jumped by 4 Bounty hunters, they fooked me up with the element of surprise.

Just dont talk to any Sheriff and or be in the close area to them they may recognize you

I still don't know how they recognized me during the mission, I had my face mask on the entire time.
