Just tried again. Couldn't even change group size now, would only accept 4.
But that was only because it failed to find other players to matchmake with me.
You're forced to do them with others, you have ti either matchmake or make a group yourself.
Thanks for the reply, though.
Either way, you're certainly free to just play the single player stuff if that's what you'd prefer.
the matchmaking will run for a few minutes then it will let you start by yourself
Most story missions require a group, but that tutorial mission is one of the rare missions you can actually do solo. I've done it solo before. o_o
If you suddenly can't then that's a really bad 'progression-blocking' bug. :(
so i just need to make a posse and be the only member in it to do the missions solo?

Can't answer you're question, though, haven't played in years, and even if I remembered, a lot may have changed since then.
