Absolutely No Audio At All
I've looked through countless of Reddit threads about this issue and haven't found a single solution that works with my headset (Steelseries Arctis 7) No matter what I do there's no sound present in the game after the 2 gunshots at the intro that plays when you boot up the game. I don't have this issue with any other game, or application. I can get audio out of my default speakers just not my headset.

Are you using Discord or the like while playing? If so, turn off notifications sounds. I had this same issue.

Are this wireless or wired headsets? And if they are directly connected on the system (if wired) or are they added through the input of the speakers? I hadn´t sound as well through my wireless headset (Sony WH1000-M3) while I activate it i´m already in the game. Now I activate it before I launch the game and it works.

Maybe it needs to change in the sound settings in the game, if it´s speakers or headphones that you are using. Or try to deactivate the other sound options in windows before launching the game. Simply to force the game to use the headphones for the sound.

It's a wireless headset. Already tried to deactivate all other sound options and unfortunately it doesn't do anything, I've all tried just about every setting in the game's audio options. I've tried to activate my headset while ingame, before I boot it up, and before I open Steam. Nothing seems to work.

I logged out of Discord and closed it and all similar programs. It didn't change anything.

I'm having the very same issue with my steel series Arctis 7 headset also. I heard the initial gunshot sound when the Rockstar logo loads, then loud tone during black and white pictures that load at the intro, then that stops too and no sound at all.

switch to 24 Bit and 192000 hz or lower rates in your windows sound settings..if you above it for examble 32 bit you hear no sound in the game..

I had the exact same issue, I spent 2 hours trying to fix it, no luck so I contacted Rockstar support, there useless lol, they said my headphone driver was conflicting with there games which was BS. lol

So I tried another 2 hours and figured out if you go to the sound control panel by right clicking on the speaker on the taskbar then click sound settings, then on the right is sound control panel, then disable all your sound but the one you use, then it worked for me.

For some, you have to go to the sound control panel a different way, depending on your sound card setup

It's surprising how many people point blank refuse to update audio drivers. Never understood it. You can't fault them for pointing to that.

Did you manage to get a proper fix? I just bought wireless Artis 7, love the design and sounds UNTIL I start the game ... in my experience the sound is terribly muffled. I tried to play with settings in SSE3, change profiles and ♥♥♥♥ but it's still garbage. I am so disappointed :(
