This is on their wonderful launcher and this s*** is really completely annoying. Is there any way to fix this since R* wont do anything about it?

I'm also having this problem with the launcher itself. Not even Epic's launcher pisses me off this bad.

I actually found the solution to this problem. I found out that Bitdefender( the antivirus software) somehow thought the cloud dat files, and the exe files were moved into quarantine bc it thought they were viruses or infected files. Check your antivirus software to look for any quarantined files that it may have been put under, specifically the cloud dat files. Thats what worked for me and now I've had no problems.

I contacted the Rockstar Customer support over this, and this is the reply i got from them. it worked for me. kindly help yourself
Thank you for contacting us to Rockstar Support.

You can go ahead and try the following workarounds to fix the issue
Go to documents path on your PC > Click on Rockstar games > Delete Social club folder
Right-click Rockstar Game Launcher > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check the option Run this program as an administrator> Apply
Uninstall Rockstar Game Launcher and install it in another drive

I've also gotten that same supposed resolution but it didnt work for me. As I stated above, removing those files from quarantine worked for me....now if only R* gave any kind of ♥♥♥♥ to fix the game to a nearly playable state with little to no crashes and stutters then it'd be great lol

Try turning off Controlled Folder Access in Windows Defender Settings. Worked for me after GTA V not launching.

Search for the launcherpatcher.exe and set to run as administrator. Allowed my launcher to find my previous install and go past the login screen

Rockstar Game Launcher is trash, they need to fix it, You could try some method i did when this happen :

>Backup & delete "Social club" folder on Document > Rockstar > Socialclub ( sometimes work sometimes not )
>Reinstall social club ( most case it work but i hate the hassle )
>On my steam library i verify game cache every rockstar games on it when its complete sign in to social club it should work ( mostly work for me all the time )

Seriously Rockstar its 2020 and this issue is unsolved yet?! Your Rockstar game launcher is so buggy that everytime i turn on my PC i had to do those things just to launch RDR or GTA.

don't forget about that nasty captcha, i mean, it's 2020 and they still decided to use captcha instead of 2 factor auth
