many people having problems are either using wins 7
2070 and 2080 supers or AMD in genreal at the moment in every forum are having issues
if using wins 7 tuff its not supported anymore and not anyones problem but the user using and outdated OS
if its the 2070 or 2080 super then look for tips from user that have them cards
if its amd then talk trash to them about their latest garbage drivers
or take a deep look at ya pc and see whats going on wile running the game and why this happens
is it alowed through ya firewall if its not that will lag the game out even in single player

Im not sure why people have issues running it I probably have the oldest i5 in this thread and I dont find any issues at all. I mean maybe some peoples definition of playable is different than mine but to me it looks just fine on my system

You should be able to run this...
I don't recognize stuttering anymore cause I found solution for that issue.
What was the solution?

I'm playing it smooth as butter, hell, I even run it at 1440p as this game seems designed to play at 30 fps, so anything from 35 up seems smooth. @ 1080p I get 50 to 60 fps easy. very smooth experience. Maybe OP needs to try adjust their in game settings, possibly follow one of the many optimization guides out there
Some gameplay on my system, playing at 1440p, recording software only sets at 720p though:

I use Xbox Game Bar to monitor my games, if you have windows 10 then you have it already it comes with it, will monitor CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM and Framerate
also KroniKx187 is right most games need 60 but this one plays well at 35 or better, I get about 40 - 50 average with the settings I run, most are at high/ultra, only a couple I had to drop to medium
Dude a GTX 1060 is not going to max out this game at all... You would need at least a RTX 2070 or above to do. Also you're only using 8GB of RAM which is pretty low in 2020. The Minimum RAM you should have is 16GBs.
SMB on AMD should stay on, cus its not affected.
Disable the HWS feature in Windows 10 RDR 2 produces framerate spikes. Using the adaptive performance mode in NVCP. Enable Vsync through the NVCP + FPS Limit, in my case 60 FPS cause of the 60Hz refreshrate.
Basically it works like this for desktop processors:
Pentium: dual-core
Core i3: dual-core with Hyperthreading
Core i5: quad-core
Core i7: 4/6/8-core with Hyperthreading
No you are wrong, thier is no possible way you can max this game on a 1060, my 1070 can't even do it so quit lying
Ultra Preset is NOT max detail btw, there is more options in advance graphics that push it harder
