Controller or keyboard and mouse
So I recently bought RDR2 and im already some hours into the game, but I dont quite know if I should keep playing it with mouse and keyboard or if I should grap my controller and play the game with a controller. Any expierence with controlers or any toughts on what I should use?

My only concern on controllers in thrid person is the aiming with weapons. In GTA5 it sometimes feels pretts clunky aming with a weapon in thrid person view. Is it the same with RDR2?

I prefer the controller for collector role in online mode. It will start vibrating, when you come near a collectable. Pretty usefull. But that's the only case, when I'm using the controller.

Sometimes I'm looking for a collectable 5-10 minutes, when it's still not found, I'm switching to controller.

Depends on your hardware, not everyone Keyboard / Mouse setup are alike.

I personally nerded out and have an Orbweaver on my left hand, a G15 keyboard in the center and a 15 button gaming mouse to my right. I have setup 1 button multi function macros for this game that no controller can beat, lol

i'd definitely say use mouse and keyboard. It is a lot easier with controller however gun fighting is a lot less interesting as you can just auto aim. Although i would change horse controls to horse relative

Depends on what you prefer. If you're looking for opinions on what is best for certain things, then KB+M is best for aiming and shooting, whilst Controller is best for movement.

I prefer control, Xbox one specifically, it just feels natural in Red Dead, and the rumble features all add to the experience, right down to the sudden tingling vibe it makes when you inadvertently step into a cacti plant

KBM for me. the reason i re-bought this is because the console version aint much comfortable to play

game's too clunky to be played with controllers. be prepare for hand cramps when fishing or riding horse miles away

PS4.. hmm idk if Xbox one feels better somehow.

god, the moment you catch a legendary fish.. you could be wasting 10-15 minutes of reeling with the analog until you cant feel your thumb anymore lmao

Least now you can enjoy it with the KB and mouse, and at a higher frame rate if I’m not mistake?

’m just lazy, getting old. I like to sit back too much. I grew up playing with KB and mouse though, it’s the best for shooters, nothing beats its precision. But I don’t have the dexterity and speed no more, the mouse hurts my wrist after a while. Each to there own I guess

Enjoy bro

I use Xbox one controller. You just hold the stick like a reel (using thumb and forefinger) and turn. Feels natural
