I've seen some guys who grabbed a train and all their horses ran after the train.
What you talking about? You know you can only have one each of the time...
The hunting wagon is great especially if you are high enough rank for the extra materials for bringing in 3* carcasses.
It sounds like the way that many people use the hunting wagon is that when they want it, they tell their horse to flee and summon the wagon using the stables section of the player menu. Then when they're done with it, they dismiss the wagon via the same menu (apparently, there's a two minute cooldown for you to be able to summon it again), and then they whistle for their horse to get it back. So, you don't necessarily have to be driving your wagon around as your mode of transportation. And apparently, the pelts and carcasses in your wagon don't get lost if the wagon is destroyed (they come back when you get the wagon back) or if the game crashes on you (whereas pelts on your horse just love to disappear on you). So, while the hunting wagon is by no means perfect, there are definitely some real benefits to having it.
This is useful when you are not devoting full time to trader and still want to bag 3 star animals and make use of them later when you have time.
In certain places with wide open ranges, you can be on horseback, slay an entire herd of pronghorns or whatever, stash them all in the wagon real quick and keep hunting with a clean horse, then fill your horse and dump ALL of it when you go back to camp next time.
It has it's uses. I use it a lot more when doing bounties because sometimes you have time to kill and see a good buck or two and don't want to carry it on your horse because you about to go nab a bounty.
