Butcher's Table tip for new players:
Don't do it.

Someone with no job and their mother's credit card will always take you goods and their horse will always be faster than yours... and they'll do it all wearing pink frilled coats, because, you know, they saw their favorite streamer do it once.

If you MUST, do only short trades and always scout around before you go. Not gonna lie, it's exceptionally frustrating and as close to a deal breaker as I've come on the game. The rest of it is awesome.

I wasn't having any problems with getting killed and having my cargo stolen until the last day or two. It's highly dependent on who else is in the same session as you. However, it's certainly true that local deliveries are not supposed to be able to be stolen, so they're a safer bet if you're worried about it.

From what I can tell though, if you there _are_ players in the same session who want to steal your cargo, and you're not in a posse, you're probably toast. It's relatively easy for them to headshot you and swipe your wagon, and then they can probably headshot you when you come back for it - and with each death, you seem to respawn farther and farther away from the wagon. So, you're probably going to fail at getting it back even if it's just one player trying to steal your wagon.

The ability card which makes it so that you can survive a headshot as long as you have your hat on might make it more feasible to succeed at not having you delivery stolen, but IIRC, you have to be something like rank 50 before you can get it.

I did a few distant delivery (about 3-4 times) and my cargo never had stolen.

But yesterday, some pose following me (i also make a pose, but only one person join, and he sat with me in the cargo), they didn't make a move until near the destination. The leader of the pose shoot me in the head and insta kill me.

I know my cargo will never be saved if i try to fight them, so i remember a trick from one user: if your cargo stolen by other people, just quit the game or ALT+F4. The Mission will disappear because you are logout from the game, and your cargo will still be in your camp, and it did still in my camp and i didn't lose one a bit.

I quit once after it was clear that I wasn't going to get my cargo back, and I didn't feel like continuing. It did seem like the cargo was then back in my camp when I started playing again later. It does seem like a jerk move though to quit like that if it's going to make it so that it force quits the mission on the other guys, since as annoying as the theft is, it _is_ supposed to be part of the game.

thats called combat logging. you are just a p*ssy if you do that.

you lost in a videogame, so what? get used to it, it happens in games. you lose and you win.

it doesnt change anything. this is how the game is made and im pretty sure you can manage to get your cargo back (sometimes).

if you log out "while in combat" you are combat logging = see above.

if you want me to say it different and in a nicer way .. what about sportsmanship? you just dont quit in the middle of something, even if you are losing.

people forget one thing ... you are not losing your life, you are just losing (this time) in a game while having fun. and if not, why are you playing?

I've been doing trader runs for the last day and I only bought it yesterday. Nobody has killed me yet and I've made about $1200 in local trades. The payout is hardly any different, only really worth it if you have a posse of 4 to protect you, or else it's just a 50/50 chance really.

Absolutely buy it as a new player, it's been raking in tons of money for me. Don't listen to the OP, just do Local trades.

Not to mention the table is on sale for 10 gold instead of 15. Take advantage while you can. Those extra 5 gold bars are no fun to earn lol.

PS. You don't need real money to get the best guns in the game, just an hour or two of grinding and buy a lancaster repeater/bolty and you're set. Maybe a pump shotty as well. But that's all doable by level 15 tops.

Forget all that and get a rolling block by lvl 13. Its the best sniper if you can aim. Was recking high lvls and griefer with this weapon im suprised how not many people uses this and they seem to always need to close in to use dead eye on me.

I don't really care if you call me p*ssy, I know it was kinda d*ck move. I never like pvp because I'm suck at it. (I'm kinda casual gamer)
It's all just some kind of experiment, i just want to know if the trick work or not. Since then, I never do distant delivery.

I know this is how the game is made, but it still annoying feature(since the game doesn't have private session to play only with just friends), and I'm not having fun if my stuff get stolen.
