I am getting this error from time to time as well.

What is working for me is deleting the sgx-files and running the benchmark. However, the error returns but I am able to play at least a day or two without the error.

Now I am getting FFFFF errors instead most of the time.. Yey..

Run the benchmark. You can stop the benchmark when you reached the robbery part.

Look i'm in a good mood, normally i would say GOOGLE IT. because this error is ancient by now and has plenty of work-arounds.

but i'll start you out with the most possible fix for that. its not 100% keep that in mind.

- Limit the frame rate on rdr2.exe to your monitor's refresh rate.
- Switch the in-game display mode to borderless windowed.
- Disable cloud saving for RDR2 by deleting the 'cloudsavedata.dat' file in the 'Profiles' folder.
on next game start it will ask to cloudsave, pick not now option.
- Disable both the in-game vsync and triple buffering options.
- Now enable both triple buffering and vsync through your gpu drivers. (use profile tool, Nvidia profile inspect)
- Add '-ignorepipelinecache' to your launch arguments.
- Go to your 'Settings' folder and delete everything except for the 'system.xml' file.

if you use vulkan, enable the hiden option in system.xml (open this file and look for <asyncComputeEnabled value="false" /> and change it to <asyncComputeEnabled value="true" /> )

if you use dx12, try vulkan it runs better no matter what others say.

agreed, if you don't feel ok with problem solving "witch is not r duty to do when you buy a 60dollar game" you totally should ask your money back before its to late to do so.

emmm.... the only problem is that i have played over 8 hours!
i try to ignore this bug becasue its a really good game and i enjoy it
i got a mission before next to the Dakota River , police asked me to arrest a bad drug dealer(i dont know if you remember this mission)
the game will crash when i chase the drug dealer who fell into the river
imagine that , the mission needs me to run from A to B, and the game crashes everytime between two places.
I try to run from B to A , nothing happen!
and i turn back from A to B , what the hell it happened again
i failed to ask for my money and feel not unhappy u know
i really like this game if this bug can be controled

Delete the SGX files and switch from Vulcan to Dx12 in your gfx settings. happy hunting.
