Foggy effect?
the game looks beautiful for me and its running nice and smooth but it seems like theres almost a fog over everything, almost like a smoothing effect that just doesnt feel right, its hard to explain and its not too noticeable unless im indoors but the colors just seem washed out almost, does anyone know what settings might be causing this and if i can turn it off?

Taa it's really strong. I go into the system.xml file and manually edit the sharpening value.

The game uses a lot of volumetric lighting effects that rely on air particles to diffuse and scatter light/color. Partially this is part of the game's visual design, love it or hate it. You can reduce the volumetric effects by lowering Volumetric Lighting Quality. You can also make the diffusion particles higher or lower resolution with "Near/Far Volumetric Resolution". High resolution will provide crisper rays and higher amounts of light/color scattering.

Personally, I am using medium for all volumetric settings. It can help FPS, but I also think medium looks the most realistic. In real life, light beams only tend to be very sharp when you are in air dense with particles, such as a steamy shower with light coming in from a small window. That sort of particle density is rare, however. In most dusty environments, light rays are not as sharply defined.

If you play on 1080p with TAA its just very bad. I used DSR to force 1440p and its so much better
