Email Verification
I recently purchased RDR 2 on steam. When i launched the game it suddenly asked to verify my email that i used to had 10 years before which is DIFFERENT from my email on steam right now and from my Social Account that I am using at the moment.

I tried to reset my my previous email which involved going through Microsoft's stupid questions about reseting and i keep getting rejected from.

Can anyone please just tell what should be done?

its the rockstar screen that is asking for verification after installing the game.it comes up automaticly.you cant start until you verify.on this screen, the top right hand corner is,change your rockstar account?click this and follow the instructions.you will change your email to a new one, rockstar will send a verify message to your new email.you will need to make a new email address first.i hope this helps,if not someone else may answer better than me.

I am having the same problem as the original poster, such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ headache just for trying to play the game. I did not understand your solution here, I didn't see any option to change my Rockstar account or something. I have created a new Social Club account and it's still asking me to switch to the old account to play the game.

The only options are to Cancel Resend or Check Verification. Steam doesn't even provide a code to activate through RockStar application. Bought on-sale now waste of money. Steam, FIX THIS and associate CURRENT email with Rockstar. This has been issue now for over a year!

Wow, I see this issue has been going on for a while! I just purchased the game and got exactly same problem. Unfortunately there is not a lot information online on how to fix this. I contacted Rockstar support and waiting for an answer.

Why aren't you folks used to all of this. You should know a Rockstar Game will require this. Other games require Uplay or Origin; what's the difference. If you actually read the Store Page and Forums before buying a Game you'd know this ahead of time.

It does not matter if the email address you use for Rockstar is different from Steam. The launcher asks you your email for Rockstar, not Steam.

Go into web browser and log into Rockstar SocialClub and/or through there, clear up the issue with logging into that account first.
