your gpu isn't too bad yet, and can certainly run the game better than a ps4 or xbox would.

the pc used in this video has similar specs to yours, if you wonder what performance would be like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKkbTL4A86c
you can even get 60 FPS HIGH settings, just play with the settings 60FPS is not very necessary except the time you want to play online

a 1060 will be fine but you may not be able to squeeze 60 FPS out of it. I play with no problems and no flicker at 30 FPS with a 1060-3

No, you won't get 60 fps, unless you dial things down. However, you should get 40-60 fps range with most things on "High" and textures and lighting on Ultra.

You can run all settings Medium/High@1080 with Textures and Detail set to Ultra and get around 50+ FPS Most of the time down to 45 Fps with a lot of action going on.

I use a 1060 6 Gb.... Intel i7-8700@ 3.2mhz and 16 GB Ram

Try setting audio to 48k or lower.

Are you using any of the Spatial sound in windows? Such as Atmos for Headphones? Curious, my ATH-M50x's using Atmos for Headphones sounds WAY better than any of the 5.1 or 7.1 gaming headsets I ever had. I tried off, Windows Sonic, and Dolby Atmos and the Atmos sounded best.

Of course I also have an equalizer configured as the default sound was trash. Did not show off the capability of the headphones.

Yesterday I thought I heard crackling but then noticed it was actually the sound of twigs breaking under my horse while trotting. Just one sound of many mixed into the overall trotting sound. The detail in sound blows my mind in this game. Esp when the rocks slide down the hill. And I'm a Battlefield junkie and they have always been known for outstanding sound.

I use Dolby Headphone and 7.1 Virtual Speaker from my Soundcard, and yes its a "common fact" that some good Stereo Studio Headphones with Virtual Surround are much better then 5.1/71 Gaming Headsets. Gaming Headsets are just utterly garbage compared to some nice Studio Headphones in my opinion.
