Is it worth buying on PC?
Player count seems low, reviews are terrible and from what I heard its a buggy mess. I know the game itself is amazing but is that enough to ruin it? Basically will I be able to play the full story without issues and maybe multiplayer as well?

Edit: So the general theme here seems to be that some people have a lot of bugs, others have none, but everyone agrees the games amazing. I'm going to get the game and if it has no bugs keep playing if it does I'll probably refund it. Thanks for the help :)

No its not worth buying well atleast for now . Sometimes it wont even launch and when it does its a bug fest ... filled with crashes and errors. Lets not to count the rockstar launcher errors (it will say the game is already running also its not — social club is not working errors ) etc. but when it works tho its a great experience. But thats like 3/10 times if it works.

Playerbase is spread amongs epic, rockstar and steam. And Steam was last to get it. Plus the fact PC was released years after console.

So don't base everything on player count.

Only factor that matters is this. Do you have a computer potato?

You would be disappointed anyways since no text chat nor radar. It would seem dead to you but its always near full servers.

its not an issue as its still going strong on console after being out for over a year. if anything it means most of the kiddies and hackers have moved on. its not as funny to hack in this game than say GTA

Pretty obvious he had his mind made up from the start of this thread. When you start a post with...

-Player count seems low,
-Reviews are terrible
-Iits a buggy mess

That's 3 strikes in my book. Glad to hear OP is moving on!

He was likely looking to grief.

absolutely, many of the negative reviews are from the first week of steam release which was indeed buggy, but I believe they have fixed many of the issues already. More than half of those reviews never bothered playing again or changed their review

Also what Eminem said, theres 3 launchers on PC that are share worlds, and steam was the LAST one. I'd wager the average players is around 50,000+ for PC. Online is always a full lobby even at night, and I always find a queue for story missions under 3 seconds

Storymode is not buggy at all in my experience, I've only experienced one crash in my 105 hour playthrough. Online on the other hand, is MUCH better than when it started, but still very buggy. You will see the occassional hacker as well, but it doesn't mean that Online is ♥♥♥♥ like everyone is saying. I still enjoy it, because it's a great time killer and is very relaxing depending on what role you play (Trader, Moonshiner, Collector, Bounty Hunter).

All in all, the game is 100% worth it in my opinion, and will get better and better the more Rockstar updates Online.

If you are looking for good single player game from acknowledge game studio (Rockstar, GTA franchise) then YES.

if you are look for online multiplayer then NO - there not so many bugs, but server support is poor, and often you will not be able to play.

Adding to what I said, the game may start off slow in Storymode and Online, so try to get past the 5 hour mark at the least to get a feel if you like it or not. It's a game where you take your time and should spend your time doing side missions, exploring, and hunting to maximize your enjoyment

So far I have been lucky game works with both of my PC's

No bugs or crash's on my end so far.

(specs of rigs)
4770k
GTX 980
32 GB ram
256 GB crucial M4 SSD first gen
3 TB 7200 RPM game drive which game is installed
Windows 10 Pro

Second Rig
MSI GL 65 95E gaming laptop
Core I7 9750H Under volted
16 GB ram
500 GB m.2 NVME drive
RTX 2060
Windows 10 Home
2 TB 5400 RPM Seagate storage drive (game drive)

Cant speak for online.. not really my thing with rockstar games since 95% their servers have cheaters galore.
Ive heard mixed results for people with this game.

On my end been one of the lucky few .. Has launched every time .. annoying with rockstar game launcher within steam... aside from that its ok.

The only bug I have come across is if you use 2 monitors ... for some odd reason it defaults your secondary as your main... To fix this ... Unplug your secondary .. launch the game normally ... then once games launched and at the main menu.. plug in your secondary monitor....

Single player is great .. story is really good

Just make sure your rig is up to par...
Even with my MSI RTX 2060 with mixed high to ultra setting's gives my laptop a run for its money 60-80's

my older 4770k with the 980 still does ok for being older hardware holding anywhere between 30-50 fps on mixed settings

If you do pick it up and it fails to launch Pretty sure steams refund it.
never really had a problem with refunds through steam ..
Although id check out the forums to make sure ..
Great game so far Im maybe 50% though the main story
