@dragon_blade No, I'm not in the World of Ruins. I use a Guide (2 Guides, but for the first PC-Version and not for the Pixel Remastered), but sometimes are the Guides not 100% for this Pixel Remastered, like in the Phantom Train i should found an Potion, but in Pixel Remastered that item was not there.
There are like 5 chests / 1 hidden item in Figaro castle that you also can't get until World of Ruin
Yea, i hate when people ruin movies i have yet to see. I accidently ruined a game years ago for one of my friends on steam in one of my reviews, and now im super careful not to do it anymore. Anyways, good luck everyone and have fun!
I hate when people moan about spoilers but visit Forums etc. themselves knowing full well spoilers are going to be given in comments.. LMAO!
I know, you want all chests right? Well, you get a chance to go back much later in the game...and if you skipped that chest and waited, instead of a Rune Blade (which is a meh weapon that you can buy from shops later anyway), you get a Ribbon instead.
The same goes for the chests in the South Figaro cave; if you save them for much later, they all upgrade to better items, and you still get the achievement for opening them all.
At the very least, skip the rune edge, since there are only 6 ribbons in-game that are not from the Colosseum - Moogle Cave as mentioned, South Figaro during Locke's scenario (can get in on your first visit if you know where to go, you can enter the exit of that area with Locke, Terra, and Edgar, and can return there in the WoR), the Phoenix Cave where you find Locke, two in the final dungeon, and a difficult one to get by stealing from Ultima Weapon on the Floating Continent, which is a rare steal.
Edit: You can also Metamorph Ribbons from certain enemies, but that is a rancid pain in the ass to do.
I'm against spoilers myself, but this is a game that has been out in various forms for over 30 years now. There have been many, many discussions about all aspects of the game during that time. If someone wants to avoid spoilers, probably should avoid discussions when the game play and plot is 30+ years old.
But still, would be awesome to go back into this game blind. First time playing this was an amazing experience.
