I'm pretty sure that won't work in this version, that was patched out in every version after the snes

This statement is just factually incorrect.

Yeah it worked on PSX. Don't think it did on GBA.

I stand corrected, still I don't think it will work in this version

Store says this:

*This remaster is based on the original "FINAL FANTASY VI" game released in 1994. Features and/or content may differ from previously rereleased versions of the game.

So they still might of left the bugs intentionally in the game. The only way we will all know though is when it actually comes out. Im hoping they left the sketch bug on the veldt in too..lol..and get all those free items.

The sketch glitch was removed in the SNES days, and it wasn't even in the original Japanese version.

the real question is, will the goggles still do nothing?

They wouldn't have "left them in", as unity doesn't have those bugs to begin with. If they're there they will have to be programmed into the game.

I'm sorry, the game is not going to have nearly as interesting bugs.

I agree, I'm pretty certain it will probably be "No". I think they just mean features like the additional dungeons and espers which were in the GBA and mobile versions. Not complaining myself, I had to live without vanish/doom when I played the earlier version on Steam and I was able to cope. Just had to put a bit more effort in to fighting those eight battles in the second half, instead of beating them in about five seconds.

Not true. It worked on the PS1 Anthologies. Since this is meant to be a remaster of the original game, Im guessing it will likely work.

The problem with Vanish/X-Zone is that you dont get kill credit /items. If you do that on Doomgaze, the Bahamut materia will be lost to the void forever (much to my 11year old self's dismay back in the day).

In the snes version XZone doesnt trip Doomgaze's death flag, so you can still fight him again and get the magicite.

Bahamut WAS missable in the GBA version if you killed the Doomgaze who appears in the boss rush first.

The real tragedy of Vanish/Doom not working is making Intangir farming more difficult. You used to Vanish/Rhodox for that Snare that used to delay counter attacks, effectively silencing the Intangir's Meteor counter. With Vanish/Doom disabled, I'll have to learn all my espers the hard way: by waiting until the world of ruin and killing cactrots instead
