I still don't know wtf "Cry" does in this version.
In the 3D version, it was changed to halve enemies' defense and magic defense, which makes it quite powerful.
Bards didn't really become a thing in Final Fantasy until the online version, 11.... then they were kind of decent to have around to buff the party.
But in general bards have always been trash in FF... The only time they're useful is in FFV when using Romeo's Ballad on Omega to cast Stop on him.
Edward is so short lived in this game you pretty much power level him to like level 10 in the Antlion Den and then just keep attacking with him until he leaves the party like 30 minutes later... LOL.
