$50 early access game in the year where many of the biggest triple A franchises are going to release their games and GTA 6 is coming out on consoles? This game must be either stellar or it will not succeed, the masses will buy the new DOOM, GTA 6, Mafia 4, MHW, BF6, Stellar Blade and the many other AAA titles releasing in the next few months. Instead of being a global success it will be a niche game simply because there is not enough interest in it compared to other products. Not a smart choice.
And 50 bucks is also ok .. and somewhat reasonable.
until end of May, there is enough time to roll out fixes, patches, updates and content ..
games these days for 70 EUR is already a rip-off, gladly Dune is not going that path ..
Then again games costed 50 also back in the 90s, so it's a bit surprising they lasted that long at that price, tbh
$50 for a barebones survival game during a period where tons of much more relevant and high quality games are dropping all together isn't smart, no matter how much you think it is or want the game to succeed. Considering the amount of MTX they will slap in it they could've just sold it for $30 and no one would've said anything as it's that kind of price where you instantly buy without even thinking.
