Intel/knowledge point cap?
Good day all,

I know that it has been said that one can learn all classes and all traits/skills in all classes. However, I have another question in regards to intel/knowledge in terms of schematics.

Does anyone know, or has it been said in any of the streams etc., if one can learn all learnable schematics or will intel/knowledge/skill points etc. be capped?

Do the intel sites at NPC camps also respawn like mobs and chests etc. do or are they one time harvest only?

I might be in error, but my understanding was that we will not be able to learn every skill in every class. I hope not, because that would mean that in the end, every single character is identical other than in regard to what you slot into your actives/passives, and that ultimately, build literally doesn't matter other than temporarily, because if there's no variation, then there's no such thing as a "build".

I don't know how solid this is as evidence, but this char builder from https://www.openworld.gg/dune-awakening/skill-builder reports a cap of 200 skill points.
I would surf youtube religiously once EA releases before making a move on release day.

I know many videos, sites etc. have indicated that one can eventually learn all class skills. I'll grant, however, that the skill builder does seem to cap out at 200 which would be inadequate for such. We'll have to see how this develops -- I am of the opposite camp in that I like having the ability to eventually unlock everything.

I have no desire to have more than 1 or perhaps 2 characters -- the time sink simply isn't worth it to me so I hope the cap can be increased as I've never been a fan of "retraining" skills et al. either in characters.

But what about intel points -- ie. for schematics. Do those respawn in camps etc. or are they only available once per character?

You stop getting intel points at L140 (Intel is for unlocking blueprints)
And the intel points in the basin are limited (harvest one time only per POI)
BUT you can get intel points in the Deep Desert, and they reset each week, so if your good, you can learn all blueprints but will take a long time

As for skill points, max level is 200 so you can not have everything

Its been estimated you could learn 2 full tree's rank 3 in everything & at least half of a 3rd skill tree. Keep in mind this means you will have learnt more than 3 abilities & 3 techniques so if your cherry picking the abilities & techniques to what you would only ever use, you could effectively rank those to 3 and 3 tree's roughly to max. Also note that you can re-spec every 48 hours.

In terms of intel for research. The cost for research increases as your level goes up and at level 200 its estimated you probably wont be able to learn everything and will require deep desert resets to earn bonus intel but again if your cherry picking what you want ie: no point learning armor's when you can farm menia's set research & can find armor pieces fairly regularly.

While you CAN learn everything, you cannot place points in everything simultaneously. There's at current (may change later) a hard cap of 200 Skill points with EACH Class taking around 95 points to get everything maxed out.

Yes, originally they had no skill cap and everyone could unlock everything and then make builds of their three active & three passive skills, with a lot more passives in the skill trees.

200 skillpoints, a bit over 40% of the 480 or so skillpoints in the trees.
2779 Intel/research points via level up, stops at level 125. You can max all research without the deep desert from what I know. The Intel points from the Deep Desert is more of a bug than a feature.

TL;DR. Learn all skills? Yes. Use all at the same time? No. Respec as needed to best flesh out your builds.
Learn all schematics/blueprints? Yes over time.

Thanks all -- the above makes perfect sense given current data.
