Dune: Awakening

What stops early access players from farming new players on the 10th of June?
I wonder what experience new players gonna have on the 10th of June when players that started on the 5th decide to rack up their pvp-kills by farming them at the shipwrecks in the starting sectors. As far as i remember from the Beta-test you need to visit them for the mats to even progress. And what can you do as beginner against a player who might have 50+ levels and probably T3 or even T4 gear and is camping that shipwreck?

I for my part think this early access for a pvp-multiplayer game with gear and skill progression (levels) hasn't been thought through properly, someone might even call this a p2w start.

From what I've hear if we want to join you're severs we need to restart or characters so I think you'll be safe.
Pretty sure that would be deemed griefing, which I "Think" is against the rules and is a punishable offense. Killing for the means of runing people's experience (Griefing.) is never something companies look nicely on, pvp game or not.

They said there will be new servers to coincide with the 10th release date, so just pick them and you have an equal playing field.

We're going to be on totally different servers. No chance of us meeting even in the deep desert.

People camping the shipwrecks in the early zones will happen regardless. Often in groups I'm sure. What I don't understand is why Funcom doesn't use a very simple fix for people that just want to pve with friends or solo without having to buy materials or risk pvpers camping the wrecks.
There are multiple servers, Hagabasins whatever, per world, 10 I think it is. So why not just have some of those designated pve where the shipwrecks are not open pvp zones. So people can't grief solo players or players just wanting to pve. Even on those instances going to the deep desert will still be pvp.
Very easy fix in my opinion. I mean there has to be code enabling pvp in and around the shipwreck pois so why not just remove it on say 3 or 4 of the 10?
Advanced-access players will get different servers to play on, with their own Deep Desert. Although to be honest, I think it's a moot point. Anyone who waits for a sale and gets the game a year later is going to have about 73x the 5 days between Advanced access and full release on June 10. They're going to be "behind" by a year, not 5 days.

Point being, there's always going to be someone ahead of you in level, gear and player skill, and there's no point worrying about it. It's clearly not a game that tries to have players fight on an even footing, so you set your expectations accordingly. If there's a griefer, you either avoid that shipwreck for the time being, or team up with others to take him down.

Why bother? you are 5 days ahead of them, the new players have nothing of value to you.

Besides there will be new servers, you could use the same argumentation from someone joining on June 15th. Or someone playing 2 hours a day against someone playing 6-8 hours.

I actually see benefit in joining a June 5th server on June 10. My friend will do this. Less crowded starter area and abandoned bases.

Like some weekly PvP tasks/quests?
On the subject - first wreck has same resources and is PvE. If there are no new resources introduced in new wrecks you can farm safely in first zone.

Meaning all the best spots in other regions are claimed. No difference honestly.

Best spots is a vague term. Also again you could argue those playing more take it all.

Nobody besides those playing closed beta knows any good spot. But one mans trash can be another mans gold. If anything have taught me, best spots in survival games is an oxymoron.
The 5 day EA is a blessing for those who seek knowledge.

They will open new servers on the 10. Just make sure you do not join one that opened on the 5th.

In Dune best spot would be near transfer Hub so you can use Ornithopter fast travel more easily. Which is pretty obvious.

There will be new servers added on June 10th for those starting then.

And seriously. No one is talking about that for people who will say get the game at Christmas and people will have several months of play under the belt.
