It was confirmed during the reddit AMA a short time ago for release, I just hope that means head-start as well.

Advanced Access begins June 5th. Pre-Load is a different thing altogether but it might be possible to allow preloading for everyone else on June 5th if access to the game is based on package tier... Possibly something tied to the Season Pass where not having it won't allow players to play until June 10th but will allow them to preload on June 5th.

Thank you although that does not answer the thread question regarding a preload before game time. Preloads help folks with bad ISPs as well as allowing those who do (preload) to not wait once the game opens.

What is the current thinking on preloading, is it faster than just downloading on the day? I know there was debate about it. I'm on 75mbit, would preloading be quicker?

I'd say it's less about it being fast, more about people having different speed connections. Might take 1 person 10 minutes but another 5 hours. With pre-load it either eliminates that or helps things along, this is especially useful it this case if you are a guild leader trying to choose a server for your guild, the fact they would have to wait for you to finish downloading when they would have been been ages ago is torture for both you and them.

I use Starlink and it plays games great but the downloading of games it is terrible it is slow. Thats was my question about two weeks ago and havent heard anything about early download

Would be nice to have a pre-load but the beta download itself took less than 10 minutes for me. Now your circumstances may be different :) Also the beta only had a small portion of the total game so a preload would be welcome.

Use Spedify to run a second connection with a cell hotspot, or buy some extra data blocks. It's really fast; I have to do that with my laptop when I'm gaming on the road
