Can you complete the entire game playing solo?

Just curious, I've played a lot of MMO's over the years and I've primarily played solo. Some games you can accomplish most of what is available in the game and others are VERY reliant on others to complete dungeons and objectives. Basically I'm sure there is some type of story to the game can I complete this playing solo?

Storypart - sure.
Exploring - Check
PvP - Should be.
Harvesting spice - doubt it. Except doing the little spice fields in the bassin, that is totally doable solo.
