Dune: Awakening

bene gesserit
if you watch a few videos on youtube you see one thing, most of them recommend bene ges as a class, of course things like stun opponents and i port behind them with the strong passive buffs makes the class ridiculously strong

but can it stay that way?
i mean if at the start of the game 80% bene is running around, that says everything about the class ... on the other hand, anyone can learn and skill it, so nobody is at a disadvantage

Maybe I am not appreciating grappling hook....by so far I think for me for start, fast running will be best choice :) hope to get hook later.

IN the end you have every class unlocked, so it doesn't matter that much anyway.

The hook by itself is mediocre. It only shines once you get a suspensor belt and use the two in tandem.

since troper is the first class you can unlock after the start class, you can have the skill quickly either way

which is another thing, bene is extremely good in close combat because after 1-2 hours combined with trooper you are good in close combat AND ranged combat

but as already mentioned, since everyone can unlock every class at the end anyway, all this is only relevant at the beginning, but can make the start of the game much easier

I hate SPEED Running , all skills are very immersive but Flash running not even a little bit :( the should give this class way to safely traverse sand ( slow ) not speeding

if this is true with the passive buffs for the classes, there is more to consider with the start option

"Class" in this game is more of a catch-all term for the three skill trees around that set of skills. As stated, you can unlock all passives from any class trees, and pick and choose traits and active skills as you wish.

Including a perk that reduces or nullifies certain skills targeting you. So it's not as "overpowered" as it seems, unless you're one of the AI NPCs, I guess.

So, the answer is no. From what I've seen from the sprint and float abilities, though, they might take a lot of practise to pull off reliably when traversing or in combat without zooming your happy bald behind ten meters into the back and beyond by mistake.

Could be my understanding on it, as I (stupidly) didn't find the other class trainers besides the Soldier and Planet guys, but there we go.

Me personally. I prefer Mentat over Bene Gesserit.
Leto May 16 @ 1:35pm
you can probably find the mentat trainer quite quickly, wasn't in the beta at the weekend, but is probably in the area afterwards, but good if not everyone takes bene ges at the beginning :)
Belinos May 16 @ 1:54pm
I play swordmaster at the start. And honestly, mentat is the most OP.
qeyabe May 16 @ 2:09pm
Everything I read is sword master for faster early leveling. Since all of the classes blend into one I don't think it matters. Just don't take trooper since you unlock that very early in the game.

I didn't go West, ok! I had derped into the area when I was first looking for a plot to throw up the second SHACK, but then I just never went back there.

I never admitted to being the smort.

agree that would be something worthwhile, lessen walking vibrations 25-33% and maybe 50% when standing still?
I started Bene Gesserit in he weekend beta and it was fine. Obviously nobody will start Trooper because of the early trainer, but everyone will pick up the grappling hook once they get the chance. Mentat is probably the strongest start with the sentry gun. Swordmaster's knee charge is also very strong. IMO Bene Gesserit is probably the weakest start, but I will start BG again, just because The Voice abilities are so fun and I'm role playing as a BG Harkonnen.
