Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

pvp question
Can other players freely attack/destroy my base and steal my stuff? Do you have to sleep in front of your PC to protect your base like in Rust?

Yes... but only in DeepDesert PvP Areas.

No. No, but if you want to... well, you are free to do that lol.
Deep Desert and crashing ships. Those are the PVP instances.
If you build something out of those areas (not sure actually you can build upon a just crashed ship anyway), not in open sand and you provide them with active shields, no one who doesn't have your permission can enter, raid, damage your base/s.
If you don't pay the needed amount of taxes (once prompted) I guess you could be attacked by Sardaukar NPCs forces though lol.
You can build bases in Deep desert PVP instance of course. Those can be attacked and eventually raided, as far as I got it. Be aware that those bases will be anyway destroyed weekly by the superduper Corioli Storm clearing and totally changing the Deep Desert instance each week.

sure they can... in DD PvP zones... claimed a player house near Lab in DD few weeks ago in closed beta. it takes time and you need the right weapon (which is only as unique item to find)
And no... you can not build near wrecks. crashing ships are something else.

In non-open PvP areas as long as you keep your shields powered, your stuff is safe. It appeared to be about 21 days (real life days) that you can pre-charge your shields for. Park your vehicle inside and keep your shields up and you are good even if you don't log in for a few days.
deep dessert is the only place you can get raided or raid. deep dessert will wipe all bases once a week anyway when it changes. NOONE is going to be building in deep dessert unless its for a quick respawn or a quick get away. sandstorm in deep dessert will turn sheilds off so
anyone can get in. you MIGHT find stuff in these basses but noone is going to keep rare and hard to get stuff in these pop up usless bases
Can other players loot my corpse in a PvE area?

There's a vehicle storage tool, but can people steal my bike if I don't store it, like where you can claim the random ones in outposts?

You went into the deep desert in beta?

No random strangers cannot take your bike. When I first joined the beta, I saw bikes I could not access and found they were players bikes.

Maybe in the Deep Desert. I think you can set permissions for your bike, so your guild or friends can use them, etc.

Bases can't be destroyed in pve area, as long as you pay your taxes and power your shield generator. Base destruction in pvp area is very limited, in a short window when the sandstorm overloads the shields, and my guess, its going to be risky, and time/resource consuming. PvP area base will be just some sort of forward operating base, which really won't be used as a storage in most of the cases. I don't really see the reason for someone trying to attack it without really good intel about something of worth being inside, because someone was lazy and didn't send the good stuff to safe place in pve area.
