From what I've seen they've copied the inventory limit scheme from the mainstream mobile survival games. I wouldn't be surprised if they'll ask $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight
I could be forgetting something, mind. Regardless, as stated, you can just use your vehicle storage for the bulkier loads and keep the lower volume stuff on you if there is indeed no way to expand your backpack storage.
They have already said (many times) there will be NO micro transactions in the game, so no they wont be 'selling' inventory expansions !
+1
From the information we have the Deep Desert is very resource rich so expect yields/amounts/requirements to go up by a lot at higher tiers. We will most likely be very dependant on vehicles & their storage to transport things.
A fill up your storage & try to make it back safely kind of thing.
Spice harvesting is also a major thing with the spice harvester + carryall to transport it & scouts + decoys for worms just like in the movie.
high risk, low reward.
You will play for fun and the occasional not very helpful special thing.
The buggy allegedly has a storage upgrade of 1,500 so you can use it for mining quite a lot later on in the game and it is fast enough at higher tiers to outrun sandworms on the open desert most of the time.
And no, they won't be selling inventory upgrades via MTX's.
