Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Carry Capcity and slot Limits
I played the beta and enjoyed it but I did have issues with the Combo of Slot limit and Weight limits. Was wondering if There will be mechanics to make you able to carry more weight and to expand your slots beyond 35.

Adding a backpack that has suspensors (Heck if they can make a fat man float a backpack should be easy) And you had the fremkit being worn so that have at least that image in the game already.

Don't you guys have phones? :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

From what I've seen they've copied the inventory limit scheme from the mainstream mobile survival games. I wouldn't be surprised if they'll ask $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight and then $5 for +10 ten slots and then +$5 for +50 weight :lunar2019piginablanket:

You can attach storage to vehicles, problem solved.
I don't think there are going to be ways of expanding inventory, though there are two gear slots where I don't recall getting items to put there. I certainly don't recall seeing anything in the research tree that could slot under your shield, your belt and the power pack, though there's spaces for something to go there.

I could be forgetting something, mind. Regardless, as stated, you can just use your vehicle storage for the bulkier loads and keep the lower volume stuff on you if there is indeed no way to expand your backpack storage.

In many games you have small backpack on low level and big one on high level. I hope it will be same in dune.

They have already said (many times) there will be NO micro transactions in the game, so no they wont be 'selling' inventory expansions !

I was hoping one of the specialties would help this like in Conan Exiles. I would gimp myself for combat in order to carry unlimited amount of goods.

I don't think there will be a lot of changes to our personal carry capacity/slots.

From the information we have the Deep Desert is very resource rich so expect yields/amounts/requirements to go up by a lot at higher tiers. We will most likely be very dependant on vehicles & their storage to transport things.
A fill up your storage & try to make it back safely kind of thing.

Spice harvesting is also a major thing with the spice harvester + carryall to transport it & scouts + decoys for worms just like in the movie.

Not true. If you have anything in vehicle storage, you can't stow it. You have to either drop all contents in your bike storage, or put it in your backpack before you can stow your bike with the vehicle replicator tool.

If this is to be a competitive survival game then the endgame balance be:
high risk, low reward.

You will play for fun and the occasional not very helpful special thing.
The strangest part is that we start with a backpack after the crash, then never see it again

The only two vehicles that can be stored are the sandbike and scout ornithopter so don't use them as arguments for problems about storage.
The buggy allegedly has a storage upgrade of 1,500 so you can use it for mining quite a lot later on in the game and it is fast enough at higher tiers to outrun sandworms on the open desert most of the time.

And no, they won't be selling inventory upgrades via MTX's.
The Devs stated in Livestream #3 that the Backpack size we had in Beta will be what we start with once Live, but there would be options later on. He just didn't go into specifics.

Livestream #3 will go check that out

The ground buggy can carry over 10x your personal inventory in weight. You'll be fine. Unless of course you're in the Deep Desert.
