Demo crashes at Unreal logo

I've checked drivers. PC is recent. Everything is up to date. Would love a resolution.

You need to update your bios and microcode for the intel 14th and 13th gen cpu's

Then forget it I can play every other game without messing with Bios etc Its unreal 5 nothing special they can fix their code or loose players

Its not the game, its a hardware issue. Any game running ue5 could cause this

BIOS updated to the most recent version. No change. No idea how to approach microcode- you have a resource for this? Thought the microcode stuff was to come with the BIOS update?

Yes, what motherboard and cpu do you have. This only affects the intel 14th and 13th gen cpu's. The Asus motherboard's are the only ones that include the ME update.

You can search for an ME update for your specific chip and motherboard, should be easy to find a guide on how to do it also.

RESOLVED - it was in fact a problem with sl.pcl.dll which is usually an issue with nvidia and DLSS and has been an issue with other games. I renamed the file and started the program and it worked fine.
