I'm not home so I can't. But I just wanted to say this feels like the most optimized UE5 game I've ever ran. 4080 is handling it like it's nothing at 3440x1440. Though I wonder how much of a loss we will take when actually in the world playing.

you are comparing something that was released over a year ago and which will have its prices fallen.(if sold at all) shortly, since release of 5K seria from Nvidia and new gen from AMD that is about to be released. Bottom line is, with all bells and whistles, with vsync gamer with 140hz display on 3440x1440 or 4k(i speculate) will still get max frame rate on 7900xtx.

I have posted my results in another thread, all in all 7900 xtx wont have problems with 3440x1440 with global illumnination and FSR3. + frame gen.

out of curiocity, what are your numbers with dlss/framegen off?
Also, what about FSR3 for you? i am curious how well does it work on modern Nvidia GPU.

essentially amount of pixels is higher on 4k than on 5120*1440.
And fps is higher on 5080, even if marginally.
With that said, in my local web store i trust to use, xtx is 1081 euro and 5080 is 1800 euro cheapest :D

Now you can find better deals probably with 1080, but still, a gpu that was released over a year ago, if not more, still is very relevant.
Cost per dollar 5080 does not stand a chance.

i just checked for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles, UK region, 800 pound rx 7900xtx vs 1400 pound cheapest 5080 rtx. Difference in price is almost cost of actual 7900xtx,,, :D
And I would not be surprised, if 7900xtx beats 5080 in at least SOME raster based games.

runs fine, but they have to rely on some heavy tricks like LOD poping in and out right in your face, shadows not rly that great, and other stuff.
