Go to your Windows graphics settings, and choose High Performance for the game from the list of apps. You might have to browse for the game executable file manually if it doesn't show up in the search.
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K 3.40 GHz
RAM 48.0 GB (47.8 GB usable)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
There are two executables for the game, the launcher and the actual game. Make sure both are set to high performance.
Hi! Can u check ur DirectX for me and say me any info.
1) key combination W+R
2) insert dxdiag , press OK - its open ur Direct X infromation
3) Open the Screen tab and look at the function levels, on the right where it says 12_1, 12_10, 11_1, etc.
And say me u have function 12_2?
Been through the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and I have the functions all the way to 12_1.
It seems I do not have 12_2 even though I have installed the latest version of direct X.
In Diag it also says DirectX Ultimate is disabled and cannot for the life of me figure out how to enable it.
What's your Windows 11 version? You can check it from Start->Settings->System->About and it's under the Windows specifications on that page.
THX.
The guys and I did a little research and here's what we found out. The game has problems for those who don't have Windows 11 and Direct x 12_2.
We tested the game on 4 different devices. The game launched without crashes and errors only on a device with Windows 11 and Direct x 12, with 12_2, with a NVIDIA graphics card of generation 20** and higher.
It's strange that the developers specified other system requirements, lower than those specified above, for example, they specified the minimum requirements of dx11. Not to mention everything else.
Now it looks like you need to install a new Windows 11 OS and update your graphics card to generation 20** and higher to play Dune. I hope these are the costs of Betotest and the developers will fix everything.
Some features of UE5 do work with DX11, but it would be very limiting to only use these when developing a game. So usually UE5 games do require DX12 or they won't run.
