Dune: Awakening

The game runs like a wet dream(pinch me am I dreaming?)

If the game runs anything like this benchmark, this might be the smoothest running modern game that I have seen.

I am needing shoulder surgery, and going for a MR on Thursday, but Ill be damned, I might have to break doctors orders and pick this up.

Tell me, why do people benchmark with Framgen on? even on my 1660 stock the FPS is over 100 with framegen on. It doesn't really give a good idea of how the game will play in my experience.

I'd be interested in you running the benchmark again with Upscaling and framegen turned off. Would that be possible?
My experience in the open beta made me cynical about the benchmark tool. I got 30-40% fewer frames on similar settings (hard to say because the two don't even have the same graphical options). A lot of players had this experience, so the benchmark is / was either misleading or inadequate for its job. Granted, it has been updated and maybe the game has been optimized since.
Did the benchmark with Ultra with the lowest fps 74.2 so i hope that is the case ingame,

I left the default that the benchmark set. Since I usually play my games on recommended settings, I left the games benchmark on its default settings and I am happy with what it showed.

However, it remains to be seen if the game will run as well as the benchmark claims. I am gonna buy a day or 2 after release I wanna wait for reviews, simply cause I recall the Conan Exiles experience, and I wont buy blindly, before I see reviews on performance-but I am hopeful.

Sure lemme reinstall the benchmark and Ill try again. Do note that I have a 4k monitor connected too, but Ill be doing the test on 1440p brb in a few(sorry for slow replies, im using one arm atm, as I am waiting on possible shoulder surgery pending mri

Frame Gen is off

And for what it is worth, I cant see any visual difference in the demo between FG off or on.

I had some performance stutters after a few hours, and there was a bunch of people talking about a possible memory leak in the Beta. Granted the few issues I had might have been down to not updating my drivers since March, because NVIDIA had been woefully daft with the last few updates to the point it completely destroys my performance after updating.

Then again, I'm very much not qualified to meme on this subject, so keep that into consideration.

Yeah, I have a mixed experience with Funcom. Single player games they make run fine, never had a performance issue with their single player games. Their multi player games in the past, havent always been the best experience, and this being an online only game, I am hoping for the best but prepared for the bad news bears.

I like Fallout 76, and I never had any issues running that game, so if I can get the same or similar level of enjoyment from this I am going to consider a buy. But due to the price, I am waiting on performance reports first. Rather not refund for bad performance when waiting a day or 2 will get me all the info I need to decide.
