G-portal Server Shenanigans

Let me preface by saying I've been a G-portal customer for several years and have had mostly positive experiences with them. Fast servers, quick and easy setup, INI file customization via simple UI panel, simple web-FTP, and responsive tech support.

Having said that, they are refusing to answer any questions or provide any support regarding Dune until the 4th. Makes sense, right? The game ain't out yet!

However, here's the fishy part... They ARE happily taking pre-orders for Dune but if you have a game server account already (I have THREE) you CANNOT add Dune to this (already paid for) service until the 4th. I asked about it and was flatly told to "we cannot help you. come back on the 4th."

Problem is, if you wait till the 4th to apply Dune to your already paid service slot, your preferred server locations may be sold out. There were 3 countries already sold out when I checked. (tho that could be a false flag because Dune may not be available there)

So. Anyway. If you're a G-portal customer and have a PAID server slot already, you will have to pay (separately) for the Dune pre-order...and then you'll have TWO paid servers. Certainly not the end of the world but it's quite frustrating so I wanted to vent and let the people know.

There is very little point in the private server unless you are a full clan/guild that want to roam in hagga basin together, deep desert is meshed with other private servers aka not so private any longer, same with social city faction hubs.
