because we have seen enough griefers in other games who get their fun by camping spawn points and killing those who are unable to fight back. even to the point of killing them over and over again until they quit the game.
Let's give them some democracy!! wait... what?

That said, in the vastness of the deep desert and with the storms changing the landscape weekly, it would take a very dedicated griefer to spawn camp. so, just do i what i plan, see another player, hop on bike or ornithopter and drive away.

A lot of folks are simply sick of having their session interrupted by gankers. When you have to enter PVP areas, inside largely PVE games, to get the best gear - thats inherently a problem. Its a clash of playstyles. One foists itself upon other players, one does not.

i like pvp normally its just n class/gear based rpg systems like this it always ends up just being griefing it offers nothing of value to me and can only be a nuisance.

besides did you play the beta and see how other people move about , pvp will be a ♥♥♥♥ show in that jank

Certain people simply have no idea what Dune PvP is about. So they make up a fantasy that as soon as you leave the PvE area 500 top gear gankers are waiting for you with nothing else to do.

Yet 95%+ of the time you meet others in the PvP area it wont come to a fight even if you are running past one another. Sure it may be a little spicy the first month or 2 until a certain group gives up.

That is not an issue with this game. If you die in a PvP zone you can choose to spawn back at your home base. Nobody spawn camps your base.

People just don't like open pvp, it tends to devolve into clans vs everyone else, solo players, etc.. and you can say BuT ThEy CaN ClAn Up AlSo yeah true, but alot of them are just casuals, who don't mind a 1one 1 fight.

Sweatys harmed casual gamers, clans did also.

Deep Desert is huge, there will be a lot of space for solos to get spice and materials. With recent change restricting the player amount to 300 people, it will be even easier to avoid fights, or make quick runs for small teams.

Honestly I think most people realized after a Lanstradd you can vote for Full Loot On Death in the DD and as a result more people are afraid if it then reasonably should be. Also I seriously doubt that will be the only thing picked often since some of the other options are amazing... Personally I will always vote for increased Npc/Facility drop rates.
