Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Teleport to Trading Post - PERMITTED OR EXPLOIT ?
1 - Have a Friend ( JOEL hinted how to ... )
2 - Visit a friend
3- buy stuff
4- Teleport back home

Means I can teleport loot from Deep Desert to my friend's base then to my base ...
Is this en EXPLOIT ?

If it is, it'll be patched. Worth a try once it releases. Devs will prob prevent teleport if you have certain high quality mats and put a time limit on it. Who knows.
At least 2 different Devs stated yesterday that there is NO way out of the DD short of actually flying back to the Shield Wall and exiting like normal.

That said, I'm not certain how much they've thought about the visit a friend on their Sietch thing so I'll go with @Howdy Y'all's response that if it works it'll be patched out fast.

I really REALLY hope this doesn't create a "DUPE" exploit. I don't know how it works, but I do know it involves some sort of transferring items. If Duping happens that would ruin the game completely. I'm not being hyperbolic. It ruined New World and many others.

Duping requires rollback in the backend to happen as one of many conditions plus giving the client too much power. Duping should simply not exist anymore in a somewhat modern game. So I would not really worry about it. Just add a GUID to an item removes any duping ability.

As I understand it, you can teleport to a friend in the equivalent zone. For example, if your friend is in Harko Village, to meet him there you would have to go to Hark Village then teleport to the instance of Harko Village where your friend is. You couldn't teleport to your friend from another zone say in the DD. Shouldn't involve any duping, just traveling from on one seitch to another seitch with the same location in the same world.

Was Amazon using an old system or something because that would make a ton of sense considering badly that game turned out.

Define teleport.

You can take stuff back to a base, and I'm not certain on how visiting Sietchs works, but you can just transport stuff back.

Even if this is a thing at the start as some oversight... I cant imagine it would live for long. Easy to create rules surrounding this. Inventory has no spice or materials in it, either you switch servers but in the same place, maybe you can only be in a pve area when you switch... etc. lots of ways to handle it.

I think you are conflating two things. Visiting someone's world and visiting someone's base. If you visit another world I believe you end up in the same exact place that you were before, in this example the Deep desert. You can then leave the deep desert on the new world and travel to your friend's base.

There is no "visit a friend's base" there is just a "I can visit a world if I have a friend there".

edit: I believe there is a timer on visiting worlds too. You will be spending some serious time on that friend's world if you go there.

You must manually enter and exit the Deep Desert.

I'm certain you will not be able to go out there, loot something and then just server switch or otherwise poof away with your loot. That would be a *massive* oversight on Funcoms part.

Most likely you will not be able to switch servers while out in the DD. You will have to do so before entering, at some point.
The reason I asked for the definition here is that, beyond dying, there is no "teleporting". So, it's sus regardless xD

Got zero clues about what the topic is.

I just wish they would add teleports for the bases you build, like they have in V Rising, if any of you have played that and know what I'm talking about ...
