Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Head Start
So, I was looking at the chart of what each edition offers, and under the "Pre-Order" category, it says there would be a 5-day head start, if you did pre-order the game.

Next to that category, it listed "Standard", "Deluxe" and "Ultimate" editions, but noticed the 5-day head start was not checkmarked under the "Standard Edition". Would this mean that I would have to pre-order the "Deluxe Edition" to get the 5-day head start and that it does not apply to "Standard Edition"?

Correct, deluxe also contains the "season pass" that is 4 DLCs.

Correct, only the Deluxe and Ultimate editions include the 5 day head start
The standard edition is actually the deluxe and ultimate editions, they will both make you able to play on release... the standard edition should be named the budget edition, as it is a later release date for those that wanna save some cash. Deluxe is basically a season pass ofc.. but still the standard release.

People that buy Standard or Deluxe/Ultimate can´t play together on the late release, if you join a server at that point, you need to give up all your progression.
I recommend getting the budget version if you are interested in the game, as that would leave room for a few patches and the worse starter bugs being squashed.

Alternatively you can grab it in 3-6 months for half the price and get a smooth experience and new features/bulding stuff.
