Dune: Awakening

the newbie quest that tells you to abandon hagis basin can you just go back there to that base and redrop a sub-fief console directly into that abandoned base?

Curious to know to, but also curious why would this be a tactic? Is it for the scenery or lower player numbers?

lots of easy/quick mobs to kill for blood, lots of bushes for fiber, and repeating of caves/ships/med tech bases for multiple copies of unique blueprints

You....can, but it's not that practical. Once you've gotten the bike, you could just re-cross. It's worth moving north because of the advancing tech, so the only thing you'd be spending one of your base slots on is just permits effectively. Everything else spawns just the same, and in larger numbers in some instance.

I didn't make it passed the beginning area, but is the next area not so abundant of bushes and npcs? It would surprise me if it wasn't.

Regarding the unique blueprints, ahhh I see your thinking, that could be quite clever.

Any word on uniques dropping in specific chests or is it across the board random?

Yes i think so, cause I claimed 2 bases around there where people had abandened there bases, after I got full loot in the chests.

I did say it's fully possible to do, but I do understand it wasn't clear. You absolutely can cheese the stage out by just redeploying the console if you're not ready for the hop over just yet. Or if someone else forgot to pack. xD

I think the amount of bushes in general drop off, but they still spawn in decent quantities. As for the walking blood donors, they certainly are in plentiful supply. They're just a little less eager about donating. They start getting more weapons, skills, and shields.

I'd probably bring a disruptor if you're poking the research bases up there. d=P

Most of the permits are linked to the chest you found them in. So you'll always find The Drinker in the same chest, can always buy a fresh copy of the larger Literjon and so on. The only concern I'd have is if they remain viable after the next area. Some definitely still pull their weight, others might not cut it.

I don't know if the permits are going to be able to be traded, though.

Yes, you can. I abandoned my subfief's many times to reposition the the buildable area when I found I was a block to short of what I wanted many times on builds. The build area is defined when you first place the subfief, rather than when you reposition it so it's something to keep in mind in general. All the buildings will be claimed and work as normal.
If you really want to keep your original, just drop an additional console next door. Don't waste your time building on it... then when you get to that point in the quest, abandon your spare.

I hate abandoning my bases, but it seems you should abandon them and move on each time. So, dont build anything that you plan to keep until you get around Helios Gate area or further.

In the moment I was about to abondon my base I've had there 2 bases. I thought that abondoning just one will close this quest ....but I've had to liquidate 2 bases and then quest went through.

I think you must have initially abandoned the second base you made, then... Before I realized you could just replace the console, I did the same thing-- I built a new, second subfief right next to it the first, just to abandon it. Didn't count!

Sure you didnt build an advanced one? It default to that as soon as you unlock it.
