Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Will you rush or enjoy the story and scenery?
I'm going to take my time. Slow walk and look at stuff. I will watch all the cutscenes.

If I die to Shai-Hulud so be it.

How about you?

I'm getting a head start by jumping in on the 5th to avoid the big crowds at launch. My plan is to set up a base for my friends who’ll log in later, but I’m not rushing—taking my time to enjoy it.

Since the game is more of a survival game with a story, I'll slow roll this jelly roll.

I'll do some farming and scouting and trading at end game. Jump in with a few guilds, do some raiding/clashing, maybe participate in a few fight clubs, then try some RP when the neutral faction comes out.

Sloooow that's why it's good with a head start.
Probably rush to a point where I can build my first semi-permanent base in one of the Vermillius gaps. After that, no rushing and I will just cruise around and enjoy everything that comes my way.

I'm curious about this, when do we unlock the ability to blueprint our bases?

It's the same tool that stores your bike, I never got around to play with the base blu print, so not 100% sure it's the same tool but think so.

Incorrect. It is a separate tool, though you can unlock it before the bike stuff. Pass on when the guided settings allow you to do it, but there's a side Journey for it. It's pretty cheap to make, though it only stores one design at a time if I recall. So, treat it like a copy and paste meme.

You can scan any player built building, but it's worth mentioning it's *JUST* the building. Walls, floors, roof, that sort of thing. Pass on if it also counts decorations. You can apparently also buy and sell designs, which if that's true I think it's pretty neat. I HOPE they add who made it though, because otherwise it's going to be flipped like crazy...

Noh worriehs.

Realised I didn't answer the question in the thread. Derp.

I'm in no rush at all to get to the deep desert. I tend to play these games more for the exploration aspects, typically offline solo as I really don't like the concept of spending hours making a starter base only for a bunch of caffeine soaked, battle hardened followers of Khorne to use it as a rage room overnight for teh lulz.

I won't rush at all!
I will just sit, enjoy the music and feel the desert.
I will explore each rock and try to touch all pois.
I won't care about mission prompts or the pushings to get vehicles or advanced items.
I will play my own way and enjoy the game the way I like.
:steamhappy:
It's very good that many people won't rush, the deep desert will be without players and it will be possible to farm rare loot more calmly until the 10th :lunar2019piginablanket:

I think a lot of people actually will rush, especially PvP guilds. It's just us in this thread who are chill.

Maybe we should make a guild? "The Chill Fellows"

Slow boating it. No need to rush anything. Rushing gives no advantages.
Joining on the 5th June but i am going to rush to the aluminum part of the game and farm for the dragonfly aircrafts and then fly back to do the early on quests, setting up the first ornithopter as fast a possible will IMO be the best way to get a good start, so once i get my bike with a booster im heading to the aluminum part of the desert.
