Kernel level anticheat=no buy
Just like the patriot act, I will not sacrifice my freedom and privacy to stop cheaters. If that means never playing a modern game again, then so be it. But I'm not installing spyware on my PC.

Then, you'll never play another modern game... very simple.

And gaming companies will never get my money. I'll just play good games from the 2010s

Nothing in my life operates under my kernel but my antivirus. Not going to give it to a third party anticheat. I bet they sell the data in the EULA like other games.

Cool. Your choice; enjoy dead lobbies and/or getting aim-botted and wall hacked to death.

Didn't Ned stark die because he was to stubborn to change with the times? You can fall on that sword I'll be running from sandworms.

He died because he actually valued things like honor and integrity. Which means not installing malware onto customers computers through games and shilling for these practices.

Brother... if you are playing single player games then I totally get where you are coming from. But if you are playing multi-player PVP games there HAS to be strong anti-cheat or the game will literally implode.

Not my problem, devs should have thought about that before they decided to sell spyware

Anticheat doesn't even work. Every single game that has one of these, there are still hackers and cheaters bypassing it. Instead they collect memory dumps and sell it to 3rd party buyers. It's data harvesting disguised as anticheat.

Honor and Integrity do not have anything to do with installing or not installing something on your computer. That is a personal choice not a choice for the betterment of others. Let us know when you are tired of standing up on that soapbox.

I'm not on a soapbox. Just not going to buy it. I would have bought it but not with a kernel level anticheat.

Yet you trust your anti virus? Also Microsoft is attacked daily, you trust them too. I get it, it’s a risk. That’s why I don’t do my banking stuff where I play.

You can always play on consoles, but then gotta trust them too.

Guess you gotta live off the grid. That is if you trust the raccoons not to dig into your trash.
