80's, 90's, fans of the miniseries, book fan(atic)s, movie buffs...
It also has a very bad Memory Leak.... I have to log out every now and then to refresh the game otherwise it is a graphical lagged up mess and you have no chance to fight or do anything...
It's a bit like other hobbies, where you buy things to be a completionist, or just add to your collection. Don't worry, as a "90's kid" you probably won't get that, either. Believe me when I say that gaming on my PC is the least expensive of my hobbies. 😄
Guns have been fine, even with dealing with the shield guys as long as they're not in a charging mob, and even then they're fairly easy to deal with. Yet to see this memory leak.
I only buying this game because I was able to play it. Otherwise I would have skipped it 100%.
I know it sounds weird but its their luck they handed me out a key on the 2nd day.
I'm still trying and choosed mentat, but my darts dont penetrate shields. Not sure how it works, Need to play further, but Shai Hulud got me really bad and set me back hard and i lost all my good gear, running around naked gathering plant fibres :D
To decide this i'd need to know more about the DD and how PVP works and plays out.
But we cant test it. We dont know if its balanced - i dont think so, i think there are some super meta builds that will dominate.
But more important, can i survive and avoid PVP in the DD and establish a viable sneaky playstyle to get ressources from the DD trying to avoid attackers like it is possible in Sea of Thieves. Full open PVP game, but you can play smart and avoid PVP to a large degree.
Having PvP is good, its some kind of Spice, but if it comes down to meta builds and zergs and nothing else, it'd be not for me.
I dont have high hopes that Funcom did it smart, but nobody knows.
Until i dont have reliable informations about this i keep my pre-order and try it out myself.
