But its not a thing they need to post as the game is not released yet.
Also it shows up with a warning you have to accept by clicking accept/OK to you can decline and refund the game.
Its a major problem if it didnt warn you and just did install it automatic.

Fine and dandy, and at least it's shown SOMEWHERE, but who realistically goes to steamDB to scope out things that are otherwise normally listed on the store page?
You do realize that installing the game installs BattleEye, right? The popup literally just asks you to accept that BattleEye is collecting data while you play.
I could even see it installing the battleeye when i hit accept.
EDIT: Blame cheaters for thise kernal level anticheat softwares, games today will use kernal level softwares more and more often as it will ban you whole MOBA, CPU and even GPU for any game titles with kernal level anticheat, thats why i never buy used hardware.
The ohh no kernal level anti cheat software is a problem is only a fake problem made by cheaters. It does nothing to you system, they dont care about you, its only there to detect cheaters and then ban their whole system and thats why they started the bad rumors about kernal level anticheat software.
Overwatch 2 does not use kernel level anti-cheat. Blizzard's AC runs at user-mode level. A bit of a tangent, though.
Alright, that makes sense. Apparently I still have BattleEye installed from an old ARK:Survival Evolved install (BattleEye, like most kernel AC, doesn't uninstall with the game) so the intro pop-up is different for me.
EDIT: So many games uses kernel level anti cheat softwares today, its really no biggie.
You can remove kernel anti cheat softwares though, its not hard at all, and the size they use on you system is like a few BMP/JPG files in size.
