Dune: Awakening

Screen Flickering!
I wanna hear your stories! Have you noticed any screen flickering! Because so have i...
Im dissapointed. Tell me it`s my graphic card.. but its all up to date, and im honest when i say i`ve never had any issues with this before in any game. Yeah they got Seizure WARNING before you`re entering the game. Good for them! This is unbearable. If you got suggestions to this issue to also very grateful..

You monitor refresh ratio? "Hz" you FPS in game? Do you have freesync/Gsync monitor or not? Its info i need in order to try and help you out.

If you have Fsync/Gsync monitor and you FPS goes below 60 FPS you will see flickering, if you have a low Hz monitor without Nsync/Gsync and you FPS is much higher than you monitor refresh rate "Hz" then you will see flickering, if its the last thing i pointed out here go into you GPU settings and then set a max cap on FPS close to you monitors refresh rate "Hz".
Also try to turn the Frame Generation off in the game option.

I have an RTX 5070TI and some games gives me flickering untill i turn frame Gen Off.

Just going to edit it here, i did see you wrote 144Hz Gsync monitor and 100+ fps.
I asumes you have a Nvidea GPU now that you have a Gsync monitor am i correct?
What you can do is go into Nvidea Controll settings and set a max cap on 95FPS for Dune Awakening and and then turn Vsync off in the Nvidea Controll settings aswell this might actually be enoth 🙂👌

Going to leave you with a YT video on how you can turn Vsync off and set a cap on you FPS in games in case you dont know how to do this, its something i do for every game and different caps on different games.
But some games will make you minitor flicker when you get higher than 95 FPS. This is because of some games engines dont work optimized at higher frames.
People call it bad optimizations and bad codings, but when you make a multiplatform game "PC+Console" its actually normal as the engine have to performe on multiple platforms, normally after a game releases they will work on the engine for the PC players as its much more easy to put out patches on PC than console for thise kind of things.

Please write a comment if this helped or not i will sub to this thread so i get notified on posts in here, i will try to help you out 🙂👌

could be gsync + frame gen causing it. It was the same in marvel rivals for me. Then the devs fixed it. Until then I had to disable frame gen or gsync.

Incorrect.
I have had different Gsync monitors since 2017 and none have had flickering when going below 60 fps (albeit that is not often I tested this)

The issue is the coding in the game and poor optimization.

G-Sync monitors can experience flickering when frame rates drop below the monitor's variable refresh rate (VRR) range, especially below 60 FPS. This flicker, often called Low Frame Compensation (LFC), is a normal phenomenon where the monitor adjusts its refresh rate to match the fluctuating frame rate, and it can be noticeable at low frame rates.

As I said. I have never experienced it.
Might be if a user plays a game where the FPS overly fluctuate all the time, but you can be certain that the issue here, is not everybody having low FPS, but rather software issues and poor optimization.

Pass i just got in and played for 30min by now and i have no flickering 🤷

The point is that it is on their end (optimization) that does not affect all, but some.
Eventually months down the road, most of this will be resolved ofc.

I have a 144Hz G-Sync monitor and usually get around 90–110 FPS. However, when the FPS drops below 90, I start experiencing screen flickering. The lower the FPS drops, the worse the flickering gets. I've never encountered this issue in any other game.

@UnholyVeinWolf so capping fps or turning G-Sync fixed it for you?

Edit: Turning off G-Sync in the Nvidia Control Panel completely fixed it for me.

Good to hear it fixed it for you 🙂👌
No i have had 0 flickering at all in this game, but i know gsync and fps can be an issue aswell as monitor in some game engines.
Sometimes turning vsync off is enoth other times you need to cap max fps belov 100 other times gsync can be the issue, its all very weird but thats why using the Nvidea controle panel and trying out things with thise different settings can be a fix.

I have no clue how to do thise things with AMD and often hear that AMD dont have thise controls available for users 🤷
I never had any AMD products and never will i like Nvidea software too much as its very user friendly.

Played FO76 for many years as i made build guides, weapon testings and so on for that game for years, but i know having over 100fps in that game will make you unable to move inside of buildings and make weird stuff happen, its a thing that has been going on for years and Bethesda cant fix it.
I know alot of games because of ground level engine issues have similar issues and thats why i always suggest thise things as they often fix the issue for people.
