This Game is super niche and will be DOA ded on arrival. Enjoy that first week or two because it's really all this game will ever have. Once the player base that does buy into it understands the game is shallow and not well put together they will fall off hard, this game will not even last a month. I suspect two weeks before a hard drop off in whatever the small player base they start with.
This starter zone the game is letting you test is the best the game has to offer, the entire game is nothing like the starting area. Please keep this in mind.
Hard numbers do not lie, ask Ubisoft.
Here are some hard numbers to get you started before you make your predictions.
For PvE every will look the exact same. The bases will mostly be the same. For PvE players they hate looking the same and costumes is their end game. PvE is not even catered to. The AI mobs are unintelligent. No bosses or end game for PvE either. PvE guys also want mods and private server communities which will not happen.
Please keep this in mind before you make a guess on player counts.
What I say, I say it because the majority of Streamers who are playing the game for more than 40 hours always talk about the same thing and emphasize 1 thing, THAT PVE PLAYERS WILL HAVE CONTENT WITHOUT PEOPLE TO DISTURB THEM AND WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY "ALL" THE CONTENT. Taking that into account, it is obvious that first they are paid to talk, second that they are not 100% honest and 3 that NO ONE knows the game in its entirety, but the VAST MAJORITY who are PVE, are going to reach a point where they are going to be forced to go to PVP areas and that is when the big problem is going to begin.
you literally dont even know what the end game is
-No base Raiding
-Limited item drops, no gear
-Huge Walled off sections by guilds
-Sniper towers outside POI
-Vehicles shooting inside shields to outside
-Base shields can not be harmed
-Funcom can't police or admin all servers
-False mass reports to get enemy banned
-Insider/Moles PvE/PvP empty generator, take over bases
PvE in Dune: Awakening;
-All players look the same
-All bases will look the same
-Unintelligent AI mobs
-No bosses for end game PvE
-Friendly Fire
-PvP DD will have best gear, forced PvP
-Funcom can't police or admin all servers
-False mass reports to get enemy banned
-Insider/Moles PvE/PvP empty generator, take over bases
This is how I see the game, by all means change my mind. I don't think it's worth my time or money. I do think Dune: Awakening could be a good game but falls short the more I seem to learn about the game. Again since you seem to have more logic and understanding about it all, let me know how my concerns are invalid and the game is perfect.
Only 12,000 are currently playing.
Many Bugs Found.
Great Test Guys!
Good Work.

How do you think the beta will effect the player counts come full release?
I think your high on drugs but a hater gonna hate.
Have you ever seen or heard of a movie called The Giver? Is this the type of echo chamber you vie for? You know opposing views is how humans grow right? Without other view points humans would stagnate and never be innovative or grow.
If you're going to haveth an opposing view at least back it up with something substantial vs being toxic and throwing shade. If you think the game is going to be the next biggest Steam hit with xPlayerBase on release, let us know. If you're going to white knight at least learn how to back the game properly.
If PvP lacks risk/reward and base building is mostly aesthetic, you're going to lose both competitive players and creative PvE builders fast. And if the PvE endgame is just repetitive AI and cookie-cutter bases, people won't stick around unless there's real progression or meaningful sandbox tools.
It’s not “hate” to point this out. it’s what betas are for. The whole point is to test, evaluate, and talk about what works and what doesn’t. If anything, this kind of critique is a gift to the devs. Better to hear it now than after launch.
Curious if anyone who’s played 20+ hours has seen anything that suggests PvE or PvP systems will deepen significantly late, happy to be proven wrong if there’s more we haven’t seen yet.
