Am i the only one who doesn't understand why people who dont even buy the game get keys to play and for us who paid the ultimate edition dont even get to play the beta....

Seems to me like a marketing stunt more then a Beta test

I know it doesnt say that im just pointing out that they should give keys to pre order. It seems only faire since they said they will be giving tens of thousand of keys. Its a large scale beta and so far not even 8k are playing

There's anothet discussion some guy complaint that deluxe and ultimate get to play 5 days early. (Than the base game)

I mean you can't please everyone and now that I played beta I am more likely to buy a pre sale

Oh, look, we don't even have to explain how the beta is a marketing trick for a bad game instead of being a major PR for a good game (like it was for Monster Hunter Wilds)

the game literally has 40 player max concurrent players for your home world...

What’s important to note is that while a Hagga Basin server can support 40 people playing concurrently, the way populations ebb and flow over the course of a day means that it still supports several hundred people picking that server as their home. This has been rigorously tested during closed beta, and we have systems in place that will restrict too many characters being created on a server that is becoming too popular, to minimize the chance of servers becoming full

As with all games operating with populations like this, that doesn’t mean servers will never reach the 40-player concurrency cap. If that happens, you will join a server queue when logging in.

The term “server queue” is rarely used in positive context – but to us it’s a quality-of-life addition. Commonly, survival games don’t offer this, and you are left having to wait and hope you are able to click fast enough when a slot opens up.

Everyone knows this, and it’s an asinine comment you're trying to make. They should have started with the people who already spend money on this game and not the potentials. They are letting Steam players in by waves now but too little too late as a lot have already requested refunds as they are pissed obviously. If you cant understand this Im sorry.

As stated on the discord about preorders and should you get access, "We're not closed to the idea and we reached out to Steam to see if it is possible without breaking things. As of now though, preorders never had access to the beta as one of the perks and that is what it is. If that changes we will let you all know. Funcom do not care much about them customers & investors, i know this as an 2 decade old fan of them mmo's. Was hope that things will get better & they will progress especially since now they are owned by Tencent, but looks like the only thing it changed is the extra greed...
