Hopefuly they'll let most people in who requested on Steam, or maybe try catching some key giveaways. They are handing them out pretty freely. It's sort of a "almost open" beta.

It is not an open beta, to access it you need either a key or requesting access on Steam. That said, access to it will be relatively easy.

Pretty much the case for all these big title betas these days. If you're not in the unemployed section you're not getting in.

There where several site's (like Razer) that gave away free keys for the beta. The Dune reddit page is very helpfull cause they say when a site drops keys.

Not too worried about Beta since the 1st DLC after the Launch might have more than we were told. I'm going to watch twitch this weekend and figure out some stuff.

They didn't. No one in my pre-launch guild received one in their email. Instead Funcom chose to give keys out to companies like IGN and Razr who used them for advertising raffles.

Funcom really disappointed me with this one.
