It would be a very time consuming process to check whether such info has already become public through the content creators though before issuing such bans, so in practice they probably just hit the panic button and you get banned.
Also did you check that you weren't advertising your guild on the discord in any sort of way that was against the TOS? The use of AI art for example is against the rules, no thinking machines allowed.
There were several people in the official discord telling people with any, I mean any, doubts about anything in Dune: Awakening to just refund, don't play, n move on. I had to ask them, like that DWW old lady, to stop because that is counter intuitive to building a new community and if they do not wish to foster a community than allow me to.
If the developers thought I was leaking something, as a top 50 active user according to the bot top 50/67,000, would you not think to just talk to me about it? No talking, no warning, no suspension, just a ban and without any notice of such. This is the type that will be policing up the game when it releases too.
This game will only offer Official Servers, there will be nothing but official servers and many of them. I've never ever in my life seen a developer or publisher alike moderate their official servers, this game will not flourish well because that is all this game is and will have.
Honestly they did me a favor, rather not waste my time. Coming soon, cheater enters base and deets everything you had or just takes over ownership of the base entirely via the console thing you place down. Are you sure you put stock into these developers to assist you later or even ban you falsely if enough people report you because of your logic they do not have the time to investigate?
After the game releases I might make a guide on here for Steam with some of the information. That would seem more reasonable to me.
Either way I don't want just the content creators and their respective groups to have a big leg up on the information about Dune: Awakening. For those that desire to know or have burning questions about how something works in Dune: Awakening, the discord I listed can provide that for you. It's the best alternative until a guide is allowed to be posted here on Steam.
This is a good website so far to see the skills for each class.
So word on the street as of today the developers at Funcom, through reddit, decided to spill the beans.
Hagga Basin PvE zone
ship wrecks are pvp zones inside the HB
no base raiding
Deep Desert PvP zone
open pvp with a 10% strip of land PvE safe
no base raiding
If you do engage in PvP you will not drop 100% loot and items, it's limited.
So this means it's super watered down PvP and zero base raiding in game. The only legit way to get rid of an enemy base is through the decay system. Other means such as insiding/mole or cheats will become the popular methods since the base game does not allow.
Walling in enemy bases or turret outposts in the DD will become a popular strategy. Just remember if you can make it to your base in the DD, or fight on top of your base with a sniper rifle, you'll be safe.
Stay up to date with the current knowledge on Dune: Awakening on the discord link provided below; https://discord.gg/WNj36nZJZ2
This is not entirely true.
"The Deep Desert is not subject to Sardaukar policing in the way other areas of Arrakis are, meaning that PvP is entirely possible. In certain limited circumstances, bases can even be raided there. Bases are invulnerable while their shields are up but there are three ways in which a base’s shields can go down in the Deep Desert:
A player’s base lacks power.
During and shortly after a regular sandstorms there is a small window in which the shields go down.
Deep Desert Coriolis Storms also bring down shields as they are building up, which can take a few hours. This window is longer than regular storms, but it is also far more dangerous, given that once the Coriolis Storm arrives in full force, it will destroy all bases and kill anyone in the Deep Desert.
Note: We mentioned earlier that failing to pay Imperial taxes will also lead to losing your shield, but Deep Desert bases are not taxed by the Emperor and therefore do not have this requirement."

How it works is bases with shields are impenetrable but during peak hours sandstorms appear which knocks out all base shields on the map. During this time raiders can attack the base and attempt to destroy the generator or go for quick loot destroying storages. This was confirmed by devs.
This is a much better system than something akin to Rust since this is a good way to massively lower offline raiding and just hitting people at 4am.
Yeah, people just need to bring the resources they harvest from the Deep Desert into the Hagga Basin, and it will be all safe there. Deep Desert is not an endgame base location for anyone, main bases will always be on Hagga Basin.
So only during a storm will base shields lower in the deep desert. Do you know what happens during a storm? Do you realize the enemy that you're raiding has a respawn point at their base? Do you understand how limiting this will be? I get offline raid protection with a 10-15 minute delay after logging out (not even what this is). This will be so boring and limiting it's only going to encourage insiding/mole or cheating to raid. This is the PvP zone but it's not full loot drop nor will it allow base raiding. I get having the PvE zone safe for those that want protection but in the PvP zone, YAWN!
I just hope people realize how carebearPvEcasual this game really is. In every effort Dune: Awakening is a very shallow casual PvE type of game. I'm just here to other gamers how it really is and let them make the decision for themselves.
This is probably why you got banned. Just sh!tting on the game when you don't get what you want, or if you feel "offended"...have to act out and put it down and cry about it. This isn't an airport man, you don't have to bring your baggage with you.
I just hope people who care about PVE wants full PVE and those who want PVP don't want roof camping to be the literal game design. You're more here to tell people that the game will be dead within a month with your opinions
