Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Please list all multiplayer content
Just a few legitimate questions, as like most, I was hoping this would be a good game.

ie, what can you do as a group in this game, pvp or pve, what are the objectives on either?, what are the sizes of the groups? Can you even group? What are the sizes of the guilds? if there are any.

Ideally, a stream of multiplayer content from the Dev would be nice.

Pre-purchasing the game seems like a lucky dip to me, based on the little amount of game content shown so far.

As for the price, it's just ridiculous. What's a season pass cost? What does it entail? How long of a duration is a season (a year, 3 months, a month?) Your business model provided has a lot of holes and is a very Trumpy! (Greedy!) Unless ofc, there is plenty of content and then that price is justified.

It's a shame, but it does appear this game will only last 1 month from the content shown...maybe less.

I hope im wrong, I hope my multiplayer concerns get quashed, and I get enough info for me to see the early start as a good buy! At this stage, I can't but I really want to.

Guilds will be 32 players max.
Multiplayers content will be like most survival game where you can team up to go gather resources do dungeons and stuffs.
To add to that there's the Landsrald, your guild will participate in doing quest for the faction associated with the guild for some weakly bonus.
And there's the PvP where guilds can compete for resources in the Deep Desert

Haven't seen much info on these dungeons. Actually, that's the first I've heard about it. Info/vids seem's stacked on solo play. Hopefully we see something on them soon. info like party size, difficulty sliders, and your purpose for doing them ie is it for the good gear? (Standard info that gets released when pre-orders are put up)

Not sold on faction quest's being multiplayer content. It didn't feel that way in New World, hopefully, they have done them differently.

I guess my main concern is that there isn't enough to keep pve players content in the game, and the servers in my region (AUS) will die by June. For a lesser price tag, I wouldn't hesitate and do what I usually do, buy it without hesitation.

Still plenty of time, and the stream they did last week was their first actual attempt at marketing the game, rather than just letting hype sell it. Here's hoping for a better breakdown of game content in coming streams. Still hopeful it's a complete game rather just a small niche market, which just won't fly down here, well not for long anyway, Sprucegoose style!

If you go on YT and search for the early play tests the devs flew a few out to play for an entire day. They play more than the intro but do not leave the starting area and just in there they built bases, did dungeons and raided camps, visited trading posts, drove the dune bikes.

They did say there was a lot of room for verticality so expect multi layer dungeons, tall dune rocks and underground caverns.

Nope, online only game ... unlike subnautica.

Nvm, I got the answer I was looking for through silence and the non-crayon-eating post writers that added something other than negative intellect to the topic.

MaKInG SteAm GrEat AgAin ArE yOu? (I wrote it in the coolaid text so you understand it)
Apart from some singleplayer story instances, you can do everything in groups that you do can do solo. It's just more efficient and safer in groups.
Dungeons, imperial Labs to farm blueprints, shipwrecks in pvp areas, fight for Spice spawns, ships falling and crashing. Basically like most part of mmo's. Hope we got something like raids later too.

- multiplayer building (you first put out a hologram of the pieces, so few people can pre-build the whole structure while other farm resources for it)
- questing (story) and faction or NPC contracts
- scavenging labs (PvE) for vehicle schematics etc. and ship wrecks (PVP enabled areas) for weapon schematics. those are your mini dungeons
In Deep Desert only:
- large dungeons (some are PvPvE)
- harvesting spice (you will need to have a person working the harvester, one or two flying above looking out for players or wormsigns, other people on thumper duty, more as guards ready to fight)
- mapping the Deep Desert each week (either for your guild or selling info in the Exchange)
- hunting for rare resources, schematics (some can be available to find during only one week per 2 months)
- you cant be bothered harvesting yourself? Hunt other player groups (essentialy be a pirate)
- engage in Landsraad mechanic which sets rules for the whole server
