Multiplayers content will be like most survival game where you can team up to go gather resources do dungeons and stuffs.
To add to that there's the Landsrald, your guild will participate in doing quest for the faction associated with the guild for some weakly bonus.
And there's the PvP where guilds can compete for resources in the Deep Desert
Haven't seen much info on these dungeons. Actually, that's the first I've heard about it. Info/vids seem's stacked on solo play. Hopefully we see something on them soon. info like party size, difficulty sliders, and your purpose for doing them ie is it for the good gear? (Standard info that gets released when pre-orders are put up)
Not sold on faction quest's being multiplayer content. It didn't feel that way in New World, hopefully, they have done them differently.
I guess my main concern is that there isn't enough to keep pve players content in the game, and the servers in my region (AUS) will die by June. For a lesser price tag, I wouldn't hesitate and do what I usually do, buy it without hesitation.
Still plenty of time, and the stream they did last week was their first actual attempt at marketing the game, rather than just letting hype sell it. Here's hoping for a better breakdown of game content in coming streams. Still hopeful it's a complete game rather just a small niche market, which just won't fly down here, well not for long anyway, Sprucegoose style!
They did say there was a lot of room for verticality so expect multi layer dungeons, tall dune rocks and underground caverns.
"legitimate questions" my ass. cant be more obvious clown farming.
Nope, online only game ... unlike subnautica.
Nvm, I got the answer I was looking for through silence and the non-crayon-eating post writers that added something other than negative intellect to the topic.
MaKInG SteAm GrEat AgAin ArE yOu? (I wrote it in the coolaid text so you understand it)
- questing (story) and faction or NPC contracts
- scavenging labs (PvE) for vehicle schematics etc. and ship wrecks (PVP enabled areas) for weapon schematics. those are your mini dungeons
In Deep Desert only:
- large dungeons (some are PvPvE)
- harvesting spice (you will need to have a person working the harvester, one or two flying above looking out for players or wormsigns, other people on thumper duty, more as guards ready to fight)
- mapping the Deep Desert each week (either for your guild or selling info in the Exchange)
- hunting for rare resources, schematics (some can be available to find during only one week per 2 months)
- you cant be bothered harvesting yourself? Hunt other player groups (essentialy be a pirate)
- engage in Landsraad mechanic which sets rules for the whole server
