Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Griefers want to thank Funcom
We griefers want to thank Funcom, for giving us such great opportunities in the upcoming Dune Awakening game. As only the first shipwreck is non-pvp and shipwrecks are a near necessity for getting higher level resources, we will have plenty of opportunities to camp shipwrecks and gank lower level players. Even better, because of proximity chat, we get to hear their helpless cries of frustration as we destroy them. So what if some of the players rage quit? Funcom does not want care bears in their games anyway. Look at Conan Exiles!
This pvp focus is most likely the reason why there is no pve end-game, only pvp in Dune Awakening. We look forward to humbling any pve players arrogant enough to try the deep desert. This is a long-term pvp game, no pve wimps wanted. Yes, it looks like a bright future, while the game lasts, for griefers. Thanks Funcom!

Nahh. PvE players can just buy the resources from NPC vendors and chuckle at these "griefers" ganking each other in the PvP zones.

You didn't pay attention. Sure you can PvP at the shipwreck, but you know people don't need to go there right?
Also the deep desert will be very large with the south area of it being PvP only it will make it easy to avoid griefters.
Get a life.

Imagine you will have several shards in pve areas, with stuff happening everywhere all the time, in random manner. I think camping those places will be pretty pointless. Really would speak a lot about "I have no life and I want to waste hours of my time to kill occasional newb, instead of doing real pvp in real pvp zone which is deep desert, like most serious pvp players would do" about anyone doing it. I mean there will be such players, but pvp zones in pve area are more like introduction to the real thing, and most of people interested in pvp will treat it like that. I don't think people will go there for the sake of ganking newbs, if there is a better option with better loot in the deep desert.

imagine on the other hand, to waste your no life killing a badly optimized AI 24/7.

That false sense of "accomplishment" bro.

Thats the true meaning of no life.

Yeah yeah, the difference is at least you are killing someone, not standing there for an hour just to finally be at the right time in the right place. It's not like I never did that thing, but in general if I want to pvp I look for action and challenge, not for bunch of easy rotflstomps. It's a waste of time, that quickly gets boring.

Killing the NPC enemies is just part of the many resource gathering gameplay loops in the game. 100% of the players of the game have to do these loops at some point, no matter what.

It is terribly inefficient to go after these resources by trying to gank random players that might some day appear in the same PvP zones that you are in. You consume more than you gain by doing so.

There's no such thing as playing this game PvP-only, you only fool yourself if you think otherwise.
Let's say there are 20 Hagga basin on a server. You are camping a one of many shipwrecks on one of 20 Hagga basin hoping to grief? Standing there, when there is nothing that people mush have from that shipwreck... sounds amazingly boring and sad.
Griefers will hate Dune Awakening, my friend, because it’s so well balanced between PvE and PvP. The resources don’t really matter, as mentioned by other users. You can trade them for their PvP counterparts at the trader hubs and sell them on the player market—whatever you fancy. There are also plenty of PvE-only Eco-labs where we can gather items to sell and trade.

Additionally, you can’t raid vehicles or buildings, even in the Deep Desert, unless there’s a storm. These storms give a 1-minute warning before they happen, giving PvE players enough time to move out to another region. So, there’s no need to worry. During this storm window, you can destroy any base or vehicle in the Deep Desert, but you can only claim loot from containers that aren’t destroyed.

PvP in Dune Awakening is challenging, but it’s focused on having fun, not on the grind of rebuilding everything you’ve worked for. It’s not like Rust or ARK, where you can wipe out someone’s main base and steal everything. If that’s what you’re expecting, you’ll be disappointed. As a PvP player myself, I’m very pleased with this approach. I love PvP, but I don’t want to spend all my time rebuilding my base since I have limited playtime. Funcom has respected that, which means we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the game without the constant rebuilding grind. :steamhappy:

On top of that, it will be dangerous too, because PvPers like me enjoy hunting campers like him. It gives us a little more thrill, unless he one-taps us first, of course!

Yes, it looks like a bright future, while the game lasts, ... Thanks Funcom!

i fixed your statement, and additionally by official words ::

PvP is completely and truly "optional" ..

everything can be done solo and by PvE only, even guild missions later. additionally there is an auctions house and a player-2-player trading .. so you can get, buy and reach everything solo / PvE coop and by this to skip the Deep Desert or any other PvP activities

in other words, have fun waiting 24/7 at and on empty PvP shipwreck zones in Hagga Basin ...

:lunar2019laughingpig:

these who like PvP and do know PvP mechanics, have fun ganking each other .. as at empty PvP zones in Hagga Basin or within the HUGE Deep Desert (fuel?) .. a PvP without the 'E'

you will then shortly begin to truly "GRIEF" and exploit "friendly players" in pure PvE regions and so to become reported, receive any penalties applied and banned afterwards ...

have fun on this !!

:lunar2019crylaughingpig:

well, or simply play professional within the Deep Desert, House vs House, Guild vs Guild, Allies vs Allies . . . also the Deep Desert has small PvE zones, vice versa to Hagga Basin

i do also see a bright future as "WHITE KNIGHTS" and their quickly known and spread Guild Name/s will camp these small PvP Shipswrecks for peace, announcing themselves on global chat for a specific time .. with high-tier Aircraft, Tanks and end-game weapons and armor to make PvP griefers flee .. to keep up a friendly environment within Hagga Basin around these useless PvP Shipwrecks ... "useless" lol, as you stated there is a non-PvP Shipwreck which can be looted and re-looted at any minute ... again and again !!

these friendly PvE players will then join these WHITE KNIGHTS and one of their dozen Wings to become stronger and can and could quickly ask for help if neccessary within Hagga Basin (Noob River) . . . or then, if in a huge Guild in secured Deep Desert regions .. these "good guys" will dominate shards and later whole server clusters for a great PvE experience .. additionally you can revive yourself indefinitely

i guess you have never watched any of these official clips and interviews about this game

it clearly will be a matter of time whenever everything is available at the auctions house, any 9999's stacks for 1 in-game currency available .. dominating guilds will have no use for stuff anymore and try to sell everything they have due to boredom .. as easy as that ... this mechanic is EVERYWHERE present in any multiplayer game which has an actions house ...

these then gonna switch sides and the cycle begins from fresh until server dies out ..

beginning from fresh on a populated server .. re-cycles . . . dead ..

just add 1 and 1 together ..
your "fixed" quote above plus official statements and my "prediction"

end of story ..

dont you see it ?!

with your original statement you act to yourself "contra-productive" ... by your toxicity you literally scare away any friendly (PvE) players and at the end you "lack" potential pray ... you are nothing but a toxic person dude, without having used your brain, without having seen any official clips ... be warned already .. !!

as you already showed us your "skills", no wonder you hunt helpless and friendly PvE players only ...

Dune Awakening is PvE-"FRIENDLY", and additionally pure PvE Servers and even Solo gaming is on plans of Funcom for a future stage .. these pure PvE servers might be then EITHER completely isolated from the Deep Desert at all and in general AND/OR to any PvP aspects and activities with a highly isolated Deep Desert full PvE map ...

Dune Awakening is highly advanced compared to Conan Exiles .. and DA awaits way more content in future ... this upcoming release carries just the absolute minimum yet .. Conan Exiles is utterly boring ..

so, before scattering misleading, toxic and false comments here to even try to scare away friendly players (and your potential pray xD), watch these official sources here ::

Yeah, pvp and pve activities will be interconnected, not required. You can pick your poison, and do what you like, and leave the rest to the people who prefer something else.

have fun ganking players in hagga, they wont drop any loot anyways and can respawn straight outside at their orni/bike :steamsalty::coolpolice:
Spawn rush and spawn camp. Sand Conan pvp. Wonder how long this lasts. Is this just the gimmick to make you play online and shop?
