So all but the first "crash" area will be pvp.
Pvp areas will be better for weapon blueprints/upgrades
Deep Desert is pvp with some safe/neutral pve areas you can build and explore pvp areas from. (that was in an older video though I don't know if that's still the same)
Whereas Pve areas will be better for building/resource blueprints
All the facility buildings are pve
Then there will be the neutral trade hubs that you can sell or buy items.
So whilst there are pvp areas, if you can make a profit from selling ecxess pve items then you can buy items from pvp sellers as they might need pve upgrades in order to produce their pvp items and vice versa.
So the hardcore pvp'ers might want to bypas a lot of pve encounters and jsut buy items from pve sellers
I like this idea.
OHHH ok. That's good to know.
So Dune isn't really worth while for pve players.
Thanks so much watchdog79.
Read this post as I try to explain everything about PVE.

Kind of salty are we?
There are MMOs with no PvP or completely optional PvP (clue: this isn't one of those).
In Warframe you could play only PvE. It had PvP, but strangely, almost no one played in that area. Also Elder Scrolls Online is similar. Final Fantasy 14 also is similar. Also Guild Wars 2.
Many MMOs have a little PvP, but many times there really are no rewards worth doing it. Unlike this game, where the best rewards are in PvP areas (from what I read).
Time will tell if there choice to make the PvP basically required will be good or bad for the game. Certainly they will lose some players. Me for instance. I really liked the Dune books and the movies, but have yet to see a single Dune game that got my attention to where I wanted to play it. This looks to be the same.
