Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

New world in Dune Flavor?
Was reading about the game and it sounds alot like New World in DUNE. I'm here for it and will definitely be playing it, wondering if yall got the same impression.

Well, I hope it will be a better experience. Yeah, something like that mixed with some guild and faction-focused stuff, and some more player economy (not as much as Pax Dei but flexible enough to have fun in it selling and buying stuff), I think it will be very good.

The game features a lot of good and fun concepts, and if you are willing to spend time in the game, which is a good thing. It makes it way more rewarding and challenging, and will also ensure that there is a lot more room for improvement in player skills and management of guilds and factions, which sounds wonderful to me. I cannot wait until we all can play I am so excited! It's been like 5 years since I was so hyped about a game.

As Mr Griffin said, am also hyped AF, am an older guy, Ive played MMOs since the internet didnt even exist (trade wars), played most major MMOs until 2010s.

I played New World, the system for weekly instanced fights was the worst thing I'd ever seen, basically was a closed club of elite people who decided if a peon like me was allowed into the PvP events.

Dune: Awakening, so far as I know, will have queues to enter the Deep Deserts if it's overloaded, the Sardaukar/Choam forces will send/force players into instances if there is an overload of players in a specific area of the DD, killing them or forcing them to flee "off the server shard" hence balancing the population so performance does not decline due to high player count within a small area.

This means that AM THE ONE who decides where I go and who I fight, guilds and groups of players will do the same, without a premade "list" of who is allowed to play and have fun in the hardest and most rewarding parts of the PvP areas (DD).

Freedom of movement is what attracts me most to this game so far, i got the ultimate edition within minutes of steam activating purchases.

HYDRATE!!!!!

Freedom of movement except with a survival mechanic like water forcing you towards sources of life. I imagine the game will have roving bands of water zombies hunting down players to extract their liquids just to sustain the zerg. Like even if you are usually a nice guy and don't gank people in other MMOs, you're probably going to kill every human you encounter because Water is Life.
