Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening

Not sure after watching the live stream
Seems like you just walk>ride>fly from one base to another just fighting people then move to the next one and repeat forever.
There are no wandering mobs outside of sand worms- Ok maybe there is but they seem like patrols that you just avoid because there is no quests for them and they are basically just reskinned sand worm events too.

I dunno, my hype is a bit let down, I kinda wish it was set on a jungle planet in the same universe so there could be like fun mobs to grind, and not such a depressing landscape, trees to interact with and not just shrubs.

I dunno, I hope this does well I guess and gets planetary expansions XD Buecause its a good base universe I just dont know why you would want to play on the least interesting planet in their galaxy \o.0/
I guess "because worms" but like do you even fight worms or do they just force you to fly everywhere once you unlock the ortocopter, then like what is even the point of the worms idek.

Also price making me go HOLDUP its like $150 or so for the super mega preorder so Im debating which teir to get, even if I want to buy at this point, I am feeling a bit disheartened in general tbh.

Hoped to get into the beta to put some worries to rest tbh, but doesnt seem like thats going to happen with the like 100 concurrent players in the beta tho

Just some thoughts /rant

edit: my aussie prices incase anyone thought i was talking USD
A$ 74.95
A$ 104.95
A$ 134.95

There are places where the enemy NPC's(other than those in the ships) do patrol the area, and sometimes an entire enemy faction can get "bounties" placed on them by the Lansraad, where each kill gives your guild points.

Each kill can also give you important resources, on Arrakis most of the water is in the people after all...

But yeah, Aussie prices do suck, you guys really need to somehow replace your goverment with competent people.
yea I'm out too.

I could be REALLY into it if you started on other planets depending on a faction choice/race choice or something.

I could be REALLY into it if you had character classes, like "fremen warrior, scout, or hunter" or something. Or Tleilaxu bio engineer pet class. Or Bene Gesserit martial artist. Or Mentat tactician using devices and what not in combat. Or nobility swordmaster.

The universe is RIPE for being an MMORPG where you fly to different planets and do stuff at each one, with Arrakis being endgame content, raiding underground Fremen sietches and stuff.

It's wild how low creativity current game developers have. Just wild. And sad.

The game has starting classes of Mentat, Trooper, Swordsmaster, Bene Gesserit Agent and Planetologist.

The Mentant character even uses devices and whatnot in combat.

The skill system then allows you to unlock abilities from all the other classes too if you go through quests for the class trainers.

This isn't an MMORPG though, it's a survival sandbox MMO set on Dune, the survival part of the game would not make much sense on those other planets.
where's the vod?

Deserts are always dire and crap. Dune is sorta based on it, even in the title, no dunes in the jungle. Though would be good to play in a city map.

Well i have high hopes for this game due to the lack of diversity.
