Are there going to be cheaters in the game? if so, what is Funcum plan to stop them from ruing the experience for the rest of us?
here's some suggestions:
- Anticheats
- Active admins

Of course. Every online game has cheaters and also those that don't cheat but exploit features (some would call this cheating). There will be hackers that try and find bugs they can exploit, maybe even to gain admin rights. There will be griefers that use any feature they can to do what most would consider PvP in the PvE only areas. Games like this (at least while they are popular) bring in all the worst sorts of people.

This is why people ask is there a private server option or a single player option. Some seem to accept the downside of playing online, others just don't want to deal with that in something they do for fun.

Survival games are particularly vulnerable to this sort of stuff because they place the base in the open world, not in an area only accessible to the player, in essentially an offline area. Survival games also typically drop the players inventory when you die. All of the successful MMOs that I've played do neither of these things, which is why I would not call this an MMO.

I mean this is funcum we're taking about, and with conan exiles reek of cheaters and Abusers (land claimers etc...) there are concerns about Dune: Awakening

Just figure there will be cheats. If they add the usual anti cheat stuff, a zillion threads will erupt. Follow the usual caveats. Exploit early, exploit often and it's corollary bank early, bank often for the PvP areas.
