Moral of the story: you cannot make everybody happy.
First Person vs Third Person has nothing to do with survival or PvP.
There are plenty of first person games with survival elements, as well as third party ones.
You can have both, and basically make happy almost everyone :P . Ofc, excluding people with authoritarian tendencies which will always be like "good for me is not good enough, everyone should like what i like, or else".
I like options, if they add it, I won't be one of those who fights because "I DO NOT WANT IT!!!!!!" for sure.
Mine was more of a reflection that in general when I play some games I really enjoy (or enjoyed) like Destiny or Avatar, I feel like I am robbed of the whole character customization experience.
I don't care if I am playing at a disadvantage - I just want to walk around and breathe in the dry air while not remote controlling an avatar. I can always hop back into third person during combat.
Me too. I have Ark 2 on wishlist, but if they stick to what's been said about 3rd person only, they can poke it. I'm not going from 6000+ hours between ASA and AsE, never leaving 1s person, to forced 3rd.
