No private servers ?
I've recently heard that it was really not going to be like Conan Exiles in terms of multiplayer and that it will be more like MMORPG ? So no private servers and constantly with randoms. Is that right ? If so my hype just disappeared.

no. it will be one "ecosystem" with multi-servers (each individual map is a server basically Myth of Empires style, but unlike dune you can host your own). but fret not,you can rent a server post launch for a monthly subscription, isnt that nice ? /s

We explained in one of our recent blog posts a bit of the server infrastructure we're using for Dune: Awakening, as well as the possibility for private servers in the future:
Due to its multiple MMO-based features, there is no single-player mode. You will have to be able to join our servers. Our plan is to allow private servers, at least for the Hagga Basin map, but we can’t promise this will be available for launch.

I'm sorry but this game will fail hard.

With no private session, forced pvp, and no nudity.. you are ensuring that none have the power to improve their experience and the experience of others.

There is no other way to put it, your vision, approach, and execution were always lacking. If you do not allow the players to help you, this game will be dead on arrival.

Removing freedom, flexibility, customisation, and creativity from your game.. what could go wrong, right?

PvP is not forced, It is entirely optional.

Straight from the FAQ -

ARE YOU FORCED TO PVP?

No, the game world has specific regions for PvP. While outside of these regions, you are not an eligible target nor combatant for PvP.

As for no nudity and no private session, Most MMO's don't have either of these things because you know..... they're MMO's.

If you guys dont do private servers with full player control.... this is gonna be a terrible product. You are trying to take over full control from the users.... when Conan Exiles was a huge hit because of the private server community.

Why is funcom switching to an anti choice model? This seems stupid. Screams monetization farming rather than actually anything to do with balance or gameplay. YOu want to force users to stay on official settings to they get annoyed and buy your battlepass and other crap.

Hes right tho, no private servers is gonna flop. Every survival games thrives on them. An overwhelming majority of survival players choose private servers to play at their own pace and have control over their experience.

One possible reason could be that this is a licensed game, while for Conan Funcom actually owns the rights. It can get quite tough getting approval for mods for a licensed game.

Kind of disappointing a Dune MMO doesn't sound that interesting. Was hoping it would be more like Rust or Ark...

But its not. Its locked to official large player count servers. No private servers, no custom rulesets, nothing. Thats a huge removal of a core part of the survival genre which is player choice and community driven engagement.

Most players play on private servers, only a small slice play on official.

What im not understand is...WHY IS NUDITY A THING? Why do we need nudity in Dune? I mean Conan exiles was a nudity because the conan world is brutal full of sex and blood yes. But in Dune? And for real did anyone REALLY needed Nudity in Conan? Only those one that use this Conan Humpy Bumpy Mod. But for Real I DONT NEEDED this and i really dont need it. If i want see nudity there are some website for this, Or i just shower myself and watch in the mirror :D And all other things that you called are Optional they said it often enough on there Videos or the Gamplay from gamescom.

Your Post sounds for me like "This is not Conan Exiles in Desert so i dont play it" for short. And thats okay. If it dont fit your gameplay thats okay. Dune Awakening is not for everyone and thats okay. Play what you want and make you happy. There will be alot other that will play it and be happy with it.
