With no private session, forced pvp, and no nudity.. you are ensuring that none have the power to improve their experience and the experience of others.
There is no other way to put it, your vision, approach, and execution were always lacking. If you do not allow the players to help you, this game will be dead on arrival.
Removing freedom, flexibility, customisation, and creativity from your game.. what could go wrong, right?
PvP is not forced, It is entirely optional.
Straight from the FAQ -
As for no nudity and no private session, Most MMO's don't have either of these things because you know..... they're MMO's.
If you guys dont do private servers with full player control.... this is gonna be a terrible product. You are trying to take over full control from the users.... when Conan Exiles was a huge hit because of the private server community.
Why is funcom switching to an anti choice model? This seems stupid. Screams monetization farming rather than actually anything to do with balance or gameplay. YOu want to force users to stay on official settings to they get annoyed and buy your battlepass and other crap.
Hes right tho, no private servers is gonna flop. Every survival games thrives on them. An overwhelming majority of survival players choose private servers to play at their own pace and have control over their experience.
One possible reason could be that this is a licensed game, while for Conan Funcom actually owns the rights. It can get quite tough getting approval for mods for a licensed game.
no nudity?
what lmfao
This IS a survival game like those are.
But its not. Its locked to official large player count servers. No private servers, no custom rulesets, nothing. Thats a huge removal of a core part of the survival genre which is player choice and community driven engagement.
Most players play on private servers, only a small slice play on official.
Your Post sounds for me like "This is not Conan Exiles in Desert so i dont play it" for short. And thats okay. If it dont fit your gameplay thats okay. Dune Awakening is not for everyone and thats okay. Play what you want and make you happy. There will be alot other that will play it and be happy with it.
